It took semiconductors, rare-earth magnets, gearboxes with crazy ratios and so many FEA optimization runs to maximize A and minimize v in this equation. Power (W) = 1/2 x ρ x A x (v^3) That's before we get into the wavy blade design. Makes those fans very silent.

Everyone doesn't need to build a scooter to be a part of the EV Industry. This water pump is waiting to be electrified. There's quite a bit of engineering to be done in selecting voltages and motor technologies here. 12V systems with high amperage is a fun design challenge.

Chinese Social Media apps support more Indian languages than our government or even Indian companies do. It's no wonder their apps are able to spread way faster.

One thing to be apathetic; quite another to deliberately marginalize 4.3 cr Kannadigas by removing a language! Here's the message: @TheOfficialSBI doesn't give a damn about us! SBI better return moneys, stay inside UP where deposits swell from overabundance of per capita income

@x_rahulraj @blawger @saurabhchandra @akashthematrix @dvgadre @chotasanjiv @MuddaKaushik @protosphinx Farm Equipment. POC's can be built as simple handheld tilling machine going all the way up to a combine harvester. India is already the world's largest manufacturer of tractors by Volumes. With Climate Change and shorter sowing/harvesting cycles, good industry to be in.

A physical business trying to speedrun and building in public! All I've seen of folks building in public till now have been indiehacker software and embedded hardware (pi + arduino combo typically). Never a production plant.

The VC's are coming for Manufacturing SaaS! I'm conflicted here. Most software that we've used at work seem to have a rent seeking habit after the first year. We try and use FOSS wherever possible for that reason. Automotive Margins can be very thin, even at scale.

1/ We're seeing unprecedented applications (already 6k+) for our fourth Antler Residency in February. Themes on what's getting new founders excited: - Manufacturing SaaS is finally becoming a "sexy" space - Resurgence in Web3 (this time, focus on infra) and Gaming (studio model)

@pampereira9 The argument is that in Mumbai you have the option of taking alternate means of transport, in Bangalore, the road is the only option.

@aphysicist I do know of a few industries where CNC's are tossed out every couple of years cos they're not as accurate any more. And tossed out as in put into use for machining non-critical parts.

Going to be at IndiaFOSS this year to meet people who are trying to use FOSS in the hardware industry. I think the usage of FOSS is critical to the improvement of margins in manufacturing. There's 6 talk proposals out of 100's (). Very Nascent still.

The third is a pedal bike with pneumatic tires. (blue and grey) This is the one I ended up riding on a 20km ride through the city. The ones which did unlock all had good air pressure. Which was surprising considering the recent floods and maintenance of the other bikes. 4/n
