🎉 It’s finally here… Field Cut! A “confrontational” board game about the anatomy of visual fields. Perfect for all levels of learners, from “I Don’t Know What An Eye Is” up through “I Have An PhD In How To Spell the Word Neuro-Ophthalmology.” 1/👁️

It's all about Ostensive Learning. Never heard that term before? This Neurology Today article explains how it can be used to make virtual learning more... not awful. My two cents: Stand up. Point at floating text. Sprint. Do planks. Read on and this will all make sense!

This is embarrassing. We had ⁌@UMICHNeuroRes⁊ applicants here for a second look, and we were mingling in a shared conference room. It looks like another department was using this room to make their rank list. Everyone laughed, but I doubt this made them feel more at ease!

@aditya_gan3500 Maybe. But another interpretation is that intubation rates correlate with disease severity, and thus the studies were capturing equally sick patients. If that were true, better treatments or better supportive care might explain the improvement in mortality.

My computer just asked me how likely I am to recommend Microsoft Word to others. You know what? Yes. And then I’ll say, “You heard it here first!”

I have to say, I love this book dearly, but the anatomy of the nervous system hasn’t changed since the first edition came out in the 1940s. I recommend picking up a used older edition of this book. Then you won’t have to deal with this ridiculousness.
