@unusual_whales Old Chinese saying: 富不过三代 (wealth rarely lasts beyond three generations). Lasting success is built on more than just fortune; values, education, and hard work matter too. This is well understood in Chinese culture.

@MattDursh There are already multiple tunnels under the Baltimore harbor. Maybe it’s safer to just build a new tunnel instead. Thought?.

@MsMelChen bad bad take. We used Lego in robotics classes in college. It’s great for building mechatronics. It’s much easier to play around with than printing 3D parts, and much cheaper too.

@elonmusk @farzyness 💯 I’ve met so many incredibly smart Iranians during my PhD program and at work, from Sharif University and University of Tehran, etc. They came here to study and contribute, this is why America wins.

@BigKnickEnergy_ Whoever drafts Kiyan should give Melo a 10-day contract so they can play together in the NBA.

@fastbreakbreak Ban him from the NBA, he certainly has not learned anything from his multiple suspensions.

@TiffanyFong_ I saw the sped up version of this on WeChat. She was 10x angrier when sped up 😂.

@bryan_johnson I thought that certain fungi thrive in cooler temperatures, which may be one reason we’re not easily colonized by them. Our body temperature is a natural defense against fungal infections….

@chris_j_paxton Yeah. Pretty laughable. Look at where the innovations are in battery systems. China is leading it, we better catch up here in the US. No battery no EV.

@nikitabier You are right. I friend-requested someone in school (after a mutual friend intro at a party) and now I am married to her with two kids. 😂.

@ryanmhickman @sama Err. I did a whole PhD in robotics expecting this to happen. It didn't. Now i work on cloud infra. Home robotics is always "just 10 year away". 😂.

@VicVijayakumar The key is to marry someone who doesn’t need or want to validate self-worth by overspending. We spent on what we feel was a good deal and had a good time with friends and family. We spent prolly $20-$30K for 100 guests. We were told that we had the shortest ceremony 😂.

@laceynwilliams What a horrible parent. It's incredible that someone is so insecure that they would discourage their daughter for wanting to learn.

@BrianRoemmele All the possibilities of evolutions on an exoplanet with potentially different atmosphere and soil composition, the “alien” evolved to be a bipedal, binocular, vertebrate with calcified bones, and oviparous? Sus.

@wheelsee @feeldafyeee @analoguepilot @MKBHD I want to do some quick calculation. An iPhone is functionally obsolete in 4 years. It loses 30% of its value in the first year and loses 90% of its value in 4 years. Trading in every year, it cost $350 a year and you get new phone. Not trading in, it’s $225 a year. Not bad.

@nymetrowx I propose we move the weekend forward two days and reset the calendar accordingly.

CDC telling everyone that wearing mask is unnecessary when many people can spread the virus without any visible symptoms will go down as one of the dumbest public health announcement. #Masks4All.

@tomaspueyo Over 2000 year ago, Chinese hydraulics engineers built a massive irrigation system in Sichuan to manage flooding and turned the area into productive agricultural lands.

@RichardHanania Are you saying the failure is due to the lack of fast twitch muscle fibers? Japanese and Koreans are pretty good at soccer. It’s not physiology.

@tomaspueyo We lived on both side of the Washington state rain divide. Eastern Washington was dry but had amazing irrigation system from the Columbia River, and is a major agricultural producer. Seattle area (Western Washington) gets really wet and dreary in the winter months. It was always.

@pitdesi “The brave chairman, a gray beard with a reputation as a guru, pulled the trigger on his decision in the war room, showing his ballsiness by going balls to the wall and advising his freshmen firemen to take a stab at burying the hatchet and working together like gentlemen.”.
