if I was showrunner of Dr. Who, I’d bring back Rassilon and then for the shits and giggles cast Pierce Brosnan. Then in his next appearance, Daniel Craig. Then i’d wait until bond 26 for the next actor that plays 007

wrarth warriors get a 100% faithful visual recreation from the off and yet we still haven’t reconciled with the crime committed in 2010 when steven Moffat decided that the original silurian design was too weird and brought along humanlike designs that never got changed to this da
Whether it's invasive aliens, monstrous machines or otherwordly entities... you don't rattle around time and space for 60 years without making a few enemies! 👹
Which foes of the Doctor do you hope to see in upcoming adventures in

many others have spoken about it to death, but steven moffat's obsession about the doctor being someone who isn't inherently a hero, but becomes one as adherence to a promise they made for themself is incredible stuff. series 6 displays that tenfold and ahh, i love that aspect
the tenth doctor is so fascinating and endearing as a character BECAUSE he had so many flaws — he was vain, emotionally unstable, and he was so against regenerating and he was tailor-made for one specific woman which he was engineered to love
incredible to think about the fact that series 1 of dr. who (2005) was literally the purest form of 'fans running the show'. russell t davies was an extended universe writer first...
um yeah so series 10 had an unproduced pitch for a SLEEP NO MORE sequel episode with an exploration of what the events of SLEEP NO MORE brought about to the world and i still want that. i want the new series to still eventually make that episode.
unpopular opinion: the thirteenth doctor’s era is most resemblant of the 1st Doctor’s era (which is one of the best) and therefore the most enjoyable of the new series as a whole
I wonder if it’s just a hoax or a genuine fact that the ninth doctor adventures from big finish have a more upbeat and happy ninth doctor because chris eccleston wanted it to be so
knowing big finish, they’ll get Peter Capaldi for their audios one day and make an audio drama named Couples Therapy with him and michelle gomez getting couple therapy
what if I told you that I really don’t care about canon at all. You can tell me that it doesn’t make sense, in a small sense you’re right but I just don’t care because I believe war of the daleks and terror firma both happened, I accept ground zero AND other ace departures
things like this make my day, it’s so obvious watching this scene now that jodie whittaker based her pained delivery on the memory of 12 losing bill. she truly was dedicated to the show
@rxbin_luvr
Mom says to son that they can go watch Torchwood after tidying up, son’s narration says that although Torchwood isn’t a “good show”, he’d enjoy watching with Mum nonetheless
because it’s the way things should be in my opinion, no one should cut anything out. all cutting out does is 1) defiling art and 2) hiding away past mistakes. own it, bbc
So iPlayer trimmed out bits of The Curse of Clyde Langer because of insensitivity and stereotypes towards Native Americans, which makes me ask...
why is this story not reduced to 20 minutes?
you lot are doing it wrong. the tardis wiki is to be used only when you want to find out what sort of crazy events happened behind the scenes of classic era serials
now I’m not saying the humanlike Silurians are a travesty or anything, nor am i saying “tradition should be upheld or anything”… it’s just that the old Silurian design is much more interesting
my stance on the Big Finish dartboard allegations:
100% justified for every other range, but.
This is the 60th anniversary series and so all fanwank makes sense and is encouraged
The Tenth Doctor meets Missy!
David Tennant and Michelle Gomez star in the next chapter of

if i were to make a dartboard dr. who production, it would be owen and tosh somehow (in a bill potts sort of way idk & idc) coming back to life and becoming companions of the first doctor
you don't have to feel terrible if you turn out to enjoy a terrible person's work (for sake of argument, example: gareth roberts). i don't judge people for rating works by such people low for the sake of their writers, but it's not the method for consuming art for me.
... and the four other writers of series 1 (yes there were only five writers in total for series 1) were all extended universe veterans before hopping onto the tv train.
i feel like we should all be aware of The Golden Road, a 1973 TV episode of Armchair Theatre in which Katy Manning plays a lesbian who has a fling with a milf
in 2003, big finish released a trilogy of audio dramas with doctors 5, 6 and 7 focusing on three of the doctor's most iconic foes. fun fan brain time: if i were in charge of devising a similar villain trilogy for doctors 11, 12 and 13, it would go something like this:
