We've got a new process for requesting updates to the Wandrer map! Click on the ! icon on your big map, then select your region of interest and send in the request. Requests are typically processed within two weeks. Thanks for updating Open Street Map!

What a week of riding! From the impressive limestone Taroko gorge to empty mountain roads. We've now made it to the beach town of Hengchun where we'll stay for the next week to rest our legs and work on keeping y'all lost. 🤗

Ugh, yes -- actively trying to bike *everywhere* can reveal just how few places are designed with bikes/non-cars in mind. It doesn't mean they're super unsafe, but clearly other access is an afterthought. There are usually quieter times on most roads at least. Good luck!

We've updated 409 map regions in the last 2 months, which involves updating all activities affected by changes in OpenStreetMap. This keeps your data more accurate and leaderboard comparisons more meaningful. You can now request map updates by clicking the ! icon on your map. 6/7

In June I decided I wanted to bike every street in Baltimore. At that point I had already ridden 32% just getting around town. Today I’m over 95%.

Having some trouble with the Wandrer Chrome extension? Try updating to the latest version (1.0.0.34) and/or uninstalling and reinstalling. My fault here, but this should get you sorted!

Long-distance linear achievements are coming, starting with the Appalachian Trail in the US. There are some discrepancies between Wandrer's "length" of the achievement and the official length, but a fair amount of this is from mapping issues on OpenStreetMap and will improve 5/n

First off, congrats to our yearly competition winners for 2022! Our top Wandrers for 2022 were graubünden (17,845 unique miles / 28,718 unique km on bike) and Pierre Paladin (3,312 unique miles / 5,330 unique km on foot). That's a lot of roads traveled! 2/7

This can happen in the future, but would be pretty difficult at the moment: have to double everyone's stats (paved % / unpaved %). But definitely plenty of folks want the same thing, so it's on the radar.
The option to hide unpaved roads on the map will be coming soon though.

ah yep -- it looks like it gave you a bit of extra credit in horner park. this is a known quirk that can happen in certain circumstances, but will be going away in the future. also tunnels/covered areas are removed from the Wandrer database because of poor gps signal
