@CyclistOtt56784 I guess you mean they are essential in the salt, not snow 😅 We don't use salt here, so in snowy weather snow remains snow. Rain and wet weather, fenders can be useful, sure. I've never had any on this bike though.

@KidinaSandbox Yeah, understandable but it shouldn't be like that of course. Here we very rarely use salt even on city streets ie drive lanes, and on the segregated bicycle infrastructure (which covers like 95-100 % of your travel needs) use of salt is forbidden. Makes it so much better to 🚲🚶

@KidinaSandbox Yup.Glasses for that. But there's no use for them in our winters. Unless we have really rare intense icy storms or smth when frozen needles target your eyes. Other than that, it's better to ride w/o anything imho. But whatever makes anyone comfortable riding more, I'm all for it.

@KidinaSandbox Sometimes I was hypothesizing whether people in NA use big goggles because of salt dust, which I experienced for the first (and pretty much the only) time in my life in Montreal when I was visiting there in 2017. That was horrible. Never had that before, nor after.

@KidinaSandbox I was really surprised when a few years back I learned how many ppl use them in NA. It's really, really rare to see anyone use them here anywhere outside of downhill skiing. Me personally, I use eye protection only to prevent something physical from getting in my eyes, such
