The most frustrating thing about Roe v. Wade being overturned is that it's a false victory for people who think they solved the problem of 'saving babies'. The data shows that restricting access to abortions doesn't dramatically lower the abortion rate. What does is: 🧵

@AnneRN2020 @JayTheXpeart @PEScorpiio Same with donating blood. If you stab someone you can't be compelled to donate blood to them, even if it would save their life. Even after you die your blood/organs can't be harvested even though you don't need them anymore.

@Kevinliptakcnn Anyone who's interacted with or studied the jury system in the U.S. knows it's at best functional, but by no means does it "work" in a fair way. If whether the judge has had food yet can affect the outcome of a case (which studies show has happened) we got problems.

@OmahaVike @WhiteHouse If their banking app shows they have sufficient funds when they make the purchase that *should* address the issues. A classic is order-of-processing shenanigans. The banks process debits before credits rather than by chronological order, which creates surprise overdraft fees

@Moonage @james_pa22 @MattBinder What you said is the opposite of normal for 'proper' termination 😂 I worked at a game company where that same thing happened - someone who *wasn't* supposed to be part of a layoff was processed as if he was part of a layoff. @BigBenInLondon @krassenstein I hate to tell you this, but kids have access to the internet these days. Even if they don't have phones they have access through other kids phones. If anything, it's healthier to talk about a book together so you can help them contextualize what they're coming across.

@hankgreen Arcturus is also another common source of UFO reports - it looks like it's changing colors. Fun fact, the guy who invented the Close Encounters system (1st, 2nd, 3rd Kind, etc.) actually helped to figure out why stars twinkle & was once a staunch debunker for Project Bluebook.

@MiddleOfMayhem I think it could be a mix. The US military shot itself in the foot by so heavily stigmatizing the issue when they knew UAP were a real phenomenon, so all an adversary would need to do is make it's tech look/act in a way that would trigger the stigma rather than an investigation.

- Comprehensive sex-ed - Easy/free access to prophylactics - Really good social services for women dealing with unexpected pregnancies. The states in the US (and countries in the world) with the lowest abortion rates also generally have free/easy access to abortions.

This is a great summary of why it's weird that several debunkers going after these types of cases (Gimbal, TicTac) will say they're just applying Occam's Razor. The number of unsupported assumptions they make for it to work in their favor is eye-popping.
@MvonRen

While it can seem hopelessly complex, the “debate” over the “Gimbal” UAP is actually quite simple (the two “sides” are illustrated below). “Gimbal” is remarkably robust evidence of highly anomalous technology.
