@zbarnes95 @brianmctaggart I’ve actually been pushing for verdugo, but not sure if they’ll have the room to sign him and stay under the threshold. But how can you push for him but say Chas for sure won’t bounce back? What happened to career plateau and he is what he is? They’re the same hitter lol

@TexansCommenter I like the things he’s saying today. Just words though, I want to see what it looks like on the field

@zbarnes95 @brianmctaggart He does have a noodle arm for sure. The astros addressed 2 needs this offseason (1b and 3b). They didn’t have money to do more. Doesn’t matter if they ignored one of those and grabbed an outfielder. It matters 1-9 lineup, not how is the outfield vs how is the infield.

@TopherT613 @MicrophoneMilo Yep, next season will be the first time in awhile they actually have some financial flexibility. Will have options to choose from with extensions and adding free agents

@zbarnes95 @brianmctaggart And it’s pretty obvious he’s a better hitter than what he was last year. He’s not some 36 year old who may be aging out. He’s 29. You must’ve been ready to cut altuve after he put up a .629 ops in 2020

@michaelschwab13 Been saying for years 2b should be his natural position because of his frame.

@KennyInHTown @JeremyBranham Offense is more or less a wash compared to last year. Massive upgrade at 1b, massive downgrade in RF. 3b most likely a very small step down. Chas hopefully bounces back some to his career averages. Starting and relief pitching will be just fine

@TopherT613 @GallantSays Agreed. I’m curious how this all plays out for him. Pretty sure he’s opting out next year unless he has a horrible season.
