I had a conversation over the weekend about stablecoins and their role in the Nigerian economy. The person believes stablecoins are helping relieve demand pressure on the central bank, contributing to the naira’s recent appreciation. He also mentioned a prominent company that now uses stablecoins to move money out of the country — transactions that would have otherwise added pressure on local FX supply. Do you think stablecoins have become powerful enough to significantly ease demand pressure on the FX market?

@Sir_Damilare Agreed. Plus we need to be honest with ourselves about what adoption really is. Meme trading plus airdrop farming is faux adoption. Case in point: this post from your quoted post.
Somebody I know has sent me over 300$ from airdrops in a total so far to convert for her. She does not know what web3 is. These are the issues.
