It is a beautiful thing to see Millennial folks embrace self worth without coyness. I have always wondered why anyone who is obviously rich will say "I'm managing o", bro.. if you don't gettat 😂 or someone who is a Genius or a hard worker will want to play small just to make others who aren't at that level "comfortable." This has largely impacted how we do things as a society. People who are very good at whatever it is they do have been forced to withdraw into their private spaces as a result of talk like "Efiko", "Scholar", "Agba Dev" and even "Too know" or "Over Sabi"... In itself, these are actually virtues, but, the condescending way in which folks talk to people who they use such descriptions for has created an environment where intellectual challenge is rare. As a result, there are few net positive environments where one can freely express ideas that will challenge others to want to do better. Thankfully, some amazing folks are leading the charge here on X. Anyways, this is inspired by this tweet (what do we call them now, X-something 🤔) by @subomiplumptre ALWAYS owning her Boss Madam 🙌🏽 status. Her Tweets and substack are gems.
