What do the lectures, compilations, and manuscripts of the giants in medicine comprise of, for the significant major part? Their observations! Thus, a physician is first a mere observer. An astute one, but a mere observer.

So how DO we de-glorify being overworked?
I will start-
Let’s not boast about residency weight loss after the infamous weight gain while preparing for competitive exams.
Let’s strive for balance in everything- in life AND in work…not just in between them.
Why do we call postgraduate medical training "residency"?
The story goes back to 1889 when Dr. William Halstead, Head of the Department of Surgery at John Hopkins Hospital, established a rigorous program for trainee doctors. He claimed that doctors must ‘live’ in the hospital to

FOMO is when your entire batch is a free bird and you realize you have 2 more exams to give, look for a job while completing your internship, and then apply for residency when almost all your freinds would be nearly R2s.
The real FOMO doesn't exist!

Is there something called 'Interest bias', wherein you constantly find it difficult to screen out cool studies which are out of the scope of your SR but are so damn interesting!!
There should be an option in Covidence saying: Screen out of this review but save for later!
I was also reminded of the numerous times in the OPD when I think to myself I would probably be on the other side of the table, if I was born one door next to my house. I was also, reminded of the time when I took my first episiotomy suture at midnight, assisted by my senior..5/n
