I believe it is real. For this to be fake would require an incomprehensible number of coincidences, each would be unbelievable. For one, we still can't reproduce this image with modern (or any) tech, and it was made in a photographic negative (something unknown in the 1300s).

Seminarians do not appear from thin air. They are raised in devout families or formed by devout communities.
You may not think they are the Church, but they are at the very least a sign that the Church is alive. The more alive the Church, the more seminaries there will be.

As a cradle Catholic, I have no issue with married convert priests who are ordained, nor with our Eastern Catholic fathers who are permitted to marry.
But I disagree that married priests are the answer for the shortage of priestly vocations.
