Child care investments benefit businesses, families, and our economy. We're creating over 1,300 new child care slots in Greater Minnesota - building on the investments we’ve made and creating a state where all children are set up for success from day one.

Minnesota is the first state to offer advance payments on our Child Tax Credit. We delivered an average credit of $2,500 to working families last year, and this new option will increase financial freedom and ensure families have the support they need all year long.

Firefighters are the backbone of our communities. They step up when we have to step back, running toward danger to keep us safe. I got to meet with the next generation of Saint Paul firefighters and see how their new electric fire engine is helping them respond to emergencies.

Our 2025 Infrastructure Plan invests over $107 million to keep Minnesota’s water clean. We’re building a safer, cleaner future for our children by investing in the nuts and bolts of good government.

My prayers are with the families and communities grieving the loss of their loved ones after last night’s tragic accident in our nation’s capital, and I’m grateful to the first responders who answered the call. Minnesota is holding all those affected close in our hearts today.

Today, Donald Trump tried to cut off funding for law enforcement, schools, health care, and child care providers. That’s money that Minnesotans rely on to keep our kids and our communities safe.

Donald Trump is again showing a complete lack of leadership and care for the people of our country. This move will keep people from being able to get food, get to work, access health care, and look after their families. We will fight this all the way.

Minnesota is here to help those dealing with the tragic impacts of the California wildfires. Immensely grateful to the 10 wildland firefighters from @mndnr heading west to help our neighbors recover.
