Child care investments benefit businesses, families, and our economy. We're creating over 1,300 new child care slots in Greater Minnesota - building on the investments we’ve made and creating a state where all children are set up for success from day one.

Minnesota is the first state to offer advance payments on our Child Tax Credit. We delivered an average credit of $2,500 to working families last year, and this new option will increase financial freedom and ensure families have the support they need all year long.

If you’re looking for a state that’s protecting fundamental rights, feeding kids, expanding child care, establishing paid leave, and investing in our infrastructure, then come on over to Minnesota.

Firefighters are the backbone of our communities. They step up when we have to step back, running toward danger to keep us safe. I got to meet with the next generation of Saint Paul firefighters and see how their new electric fire engine is helping them respond to emergencies.

Two years ago today, @GovTimWalz signed the PRO Act into law and we ensured Minnesotans' rights to reproductive health care stay protected. We know what’s on the line. We’re not done fighting for reproductive freedom for all.

Small businesses are more than just places to shop – they’re where we connect to community and are the lifeblood of small towns like Red Wing. As we move Minnesota forward, we’ll continue working to lift up business owners and entrepreneurs to build a stronger economy for all.

Thanks to the new Amtrak Borealis, more people are visiting new cities and supporting Minnesota’s thriving small business economy. Nearly 40 people either board or exit each day in Red Wing. That’s nearly 15,000 visitors to Red Wing this year all because of this new train.

My prayers are with the families and communities grieving the loss of their loved ones after last night’s tragic accident in our nation’s capital, and I’m grateful to the first responders who answered the call. Minnesota is holding all those affected close in our hearts today.

Today, Donald Trump tried to cut off funding for law enforcement, schools, health care, and child care providers. That’s money that Minnesotans rely on to keep our kids and our communities safe.

Donald Trump is again showing a complete lack of leadership and care for the people of our country. This move will keep people from being able to get food, get to work, access health care, and look after their families. We will fight this all the way.

Our nation-leading Child Tax Credit saved eligible families nearly $2,500 on average last year. That’s money for rent, diapers, groceries, or child care. My message: Don’t leave money on the table, Minnesota. File your taxes to claim the credit.

On Holocaust Remembrance Day, we honor the memories of the millions who were killed and recommit ourselves to calling out antisemitism and hate when we see it. May we never forget the horrifying consequences of hateful actions and rhetoric.

Minnesotans depend on and deserve clean drinking water, safe streets, and reliable infrastructure. Our infrastructure plan makes smart investments to keep Minnesotans safe and healthy.

Along with historic investments like school meals and our Child Tax Credit, we’re ensuring food shelves like Today’s Harvest have the support they need to fight hunger. I volunteered to hear how they’ve leveraged state funding to build on their work to end hunger.

Minnesota is here to help those dealing with the tragic impacts of the California wildfires. Immensely grateful to the 10 wildland firefighters from @mndnr heading west to help our neighbors recover.

When we talk about infrastructure, we're talking about the systems that each of us rely on to live our lives – from clean water and safe roads to affordable housing and child care. That’s what our 2025 Infrastructure Plan is all about.
