David, as an Xbox fan, I would be really unhappy if competition is hurt.
When Xbox got cocky, we had the terrible Xbox One launch.
When PS got cocky we had the "you should get a second job to afford PS3" remarks.

Yes. The "quality of life" is much better on my Series console than my PS5.
People mock these. But auto HDR, res boost, fps boost, quick resume, free next gen upgrades make a huge difference.
PS5 feels like a faster last gen (to be fair, much faster) with very a nice controller

We already spend 1/3 of our healthcare near end of life. And social security is becoming insolvent.
As more people age and need care we need even more young and healthy workers to look after them

It is not “welfare” but it is not a “savings account” either.
The closest is a “long term survival insurance” or “annuity” which used to have a good accounting.

I am a bit conflicted about this.
If you already have a generous vacation plan, this is actually a downgrade (you can no longer cash them out, or leave for a vacation at will).
But if you were limited, yes.
So good for Activision;
But not so good for existing MS employees.

We already had a $70 tier: deluxe editions.
Add in $10 to $40 for season passes, and we had an existing structure to include higher price points.

Remember, Dolby Atmos / Dolby Vision, VRR, AutoHDR, Quick Resume, FPS Boost, Ray Tracing*, DirectStorage are all there.

And gamers get to experience a nice albeit short experience.
