Why do car manufacturers think touch sensitive controls work for a steering wheel? They are bloody awful, you have no idea if you are on the button and end up fingering around in the dark like an excited 16yo boy

I hate touch screens in cars. With a knob or a button you get to know where it is as you can feel it, with a button you are forced to take your eyes off the road to find the right area on the screen.

That's a "plug fitting" with a "keep plate". Used where some rotation for fitting or alignment is required, otherwise you have the keep plate as an integral part of the plug fitting.

So...sitting there having lunch & we get showered with helicopter parts landing all around us, pilot OK, we were too, although it was close!!! Punched several holes clean through the hanger next to us (yes in one side & out the other)....off to buy a lottery ticket

One of the absolute greats of Land Speed Record racing has left us. Ron Ayers, who led the design team that produced Thrust SSC, has died aged 92. Thrust SSC reached 763.035mph (1,227.986km/h) on 15 October 1997. The fastest car in history 🇬🇧
