Airbuds knocks it out of the park with the new widget-as-primary-surface strategy for social apps... and my LORD look at that app icon. 🥵 From our experience it's mostly a fun way to troll your friends for their music taste.

This thing was fun AF for about 5 days, and we say that sincerely. Our theory is that people were just a bit too shy for the mic to make this one stick, but Airchat certainly showed us what it means to take a shot on a new paradigm.

Corner allows you to curate lists of your favorite spots and discover others through your friends. The app's dreamy UI has our hearts but its navigation hierarchy just needs a bit more refinement to stick - we're rooting for this team!

The self-proclaimed app of the summer is legit our app of the summer. Stompers turns your daily step count into a game of Mario Kart with your friends, where you can pick up items and boosts to fight for the most stomps daily.

TenTen lets you send custom notification sounds to your friends, turning your phone into an actual walkie talkie. We haven't used this yet because we are old but it seems super fun and the traction they've earned so far is nothing to sneeze at.
