Kudos to you and anyone else who helps raise awareness. It would be great if the app highlighted the issue too, though Apple’s app reviewers might not be amused.

A few were speculating: It's a Xeon x3230. We went through a few classes of machines, and that's from one of the earlier classes. It would have been a flagship simulator CPU... way back in 2007.
By 2020 it had long been repurposed for much lighter tasks. :)

Did you know HUDs can be performance killers? Clothing or body HUDs with a bunch of 1024x1024 textures may always load at full resolution. Even if the HUD is mostly transparent or slides mostly off-screen when not in use, other scene textures begin to thrash in and out of memory.

One of my favorite experiments involved sitting audiophiles down to listen to high end speakers using $2,000 premium cables, $10 Radio Shack cables, and a few runs of coathanger. There was no statistically significant ability to tell which were different, let alone best.

So many SL vehicles have fabulous mesh, but very basic metal textures. PBR can make metals explode to life with the tiniest creative effort.

We're the rare remaining program that doesn't support emoji. You can even use them in notepad.exe or Finder filenames. (Or maybe not seeing emoji is a feature?)

Firestorm's blog has a cautionary piece about content theft viewers. The account security risk is real. I've seen bad viewers that silently send passwords and L$ balances over IM, post them to anonymous websites, or smuggle credentials out via DNS queries.
