Stop using this bad argument: Kyle Kuzma is untouchable because he was "the second best player on the team last season."
The Wizards stunk last season. There were worse on both offense and defense when he was in the game. Decent? Yes. Untouchable? Hell no.

I'm...puzzled...by this idea floating around on TwXtter that Poole has somehow been an off-ball player this season. That does not resonate with my eyes (having watched literally every second of every game the Wizards have played this season) nor the numbers.

This is such a nothing. Todd has been below average in the G League for each of the past three seasons. The fact that he's young and tall doesn't mean much. Maybe Vogel's crew can get something from him the Wizards couldn't.

Of all the hills to die on, "Jokic isn't that good a passer" is probably one I'd personally skip.
Also, this kind of video applies to every player. Awarding assists is subjective and inconsistent. We've been talking about it for years. Jumped out when I was tracking defense.

Deni Avdija performance ekg for this season. After the Orlando game, his PPA was 69 (average is 100 and higher is better). Four games later, it's 81. His PPA for the last four games: 195. Which is *great* and almost surely the best four-game stretch of his career.

Positive spin: Kuz is learning whilst being the focal point of opposing teams' defensive schemes. He gets to try to see what beats other teams' number 1/2 defenders. Now add Brad and Porzingis to this--no way your third/fourth-best defender stopping him

Remember when Sheppard said they were trading Hachimura to get Avdija more minutes. Pre-trade, Avdija averaged 25.8 minutes per game. Since: 26.2.

If true, it’s another signal this franchise really has no clue what they’re doing. Poeltl is a good player. Playing him would mean Gafford or Porzingis has to sit, and those two are two of their stronger performers so far this season.

This...isn't good or even encouraging. He averaged 36 minutes per game. Shot 26.3% on threes. His efg was 45.3%. His offensive efficiency was 19 pts per 100 possessions below average. He had flashes here and there. But this was not very encouraging.

Every now and then Simmons is right. Avdija has worked on his game and body and would be valuable on a good team. Still has his flaws, but he’s become a solid player…and still with room to grow. Has a chance to be a BARGAIN on the deal he signed.
