At the entrance walls to my home, this An Post collection box still bears the official symbol of the ‘Irish Free State’ or ‘Saorstát Éireann’.
The Irish Free State was established in 1922 and dissolved in 1937.
Pretty cool piece of history pretty much at the front door.

As the school year finishes, let’s reflect on how the pandemic has affected our children.
Children and teenagers suffering from trauma and anxiety need direct delivery of services in schools. Emotional counselling/therapeutic supports should be provided as an urgent priority.

If you’re a student teacher, I couldn’t recommend working in a DEIS school enough once you finish college. You won’t regret it!

Children in school can’t be any more excited to bring home some plants during Easter holidays to take care of. A school garden is a learning process for children and teachers alike.

Mud Island Community Garden in Dublin’s North Inner City is a hidden treasure run by volunteers. Highly recommend a visit.

For my LC in 2013, the Research Study Report (RSR) topic you chose had to take place before ‘92/‘93. From a quick Google search, the same year applies almost 10 years later.
You’d imagine there should be a 20 year rule for topics rather than a date they don’t seem to change.

I’d also ask, why should a son get the land at home and the daughter get nothing?
Women in Ag have been disadvantaged for so long.
We need to drastically improve supports to encourage women in farming as current figures of 12% of women farmers in Ireland speak for themselves.
