Butlins Mosney holiday camp, Co. Meath. The windows on one side in "Dan Lowrey's" pub on the holiday campus looked directly into the swimming pool, which was always bizarre!

So true. Costumes are so elaborate these days but these did the job in the 1980's. I remember the elastic on the masks being very tight and not very comfortable to breathe through the sharp plastic!

Raheny Dublin as described in 1901.
"Raheny is a shapeless, straggling little hamlet with parklike, tree-dotted fields round about. It has two inns, two churches, the same number of schoolhouses, and a single shabby little shop."

I've been working helping out with the Lambert Puppet Theatre for a few years now after the fire. I wish there was some way it could be saved. So sad today as the news of closure breaks officially.

"The wren, oh the wren; he's the king off all birds,
On St. Stephen's Day he got caught in the furze,
So it's up with the kettle & it's down with the pan,
Won't you give us a penny to bury the wran? "

My niece Chloe has finished all the chemo she can take. Big scan at the end of the month and hoping that they are able to operate on the neuroblastoma cancer after that. Please keep your fingers crossed for her and thanks to so many for their support for Chloe.
After postponement my dad finally had his open heart surgery today, 5hr op and in ICU induced coma for a couple of days. Long road ahead but sí far so good. Love him so much ❤️
