Yup, and important to add is that Peoples Trust is one of *only* 12 direct clearers in Canada. Meaning, they maintain a direct account with Canada's central bank vs work with the central bank through a proxy. Basically means MUCH higher obligations around safety and reliability.

Haven’t seen any of the US folks chime in on major Canadian settlement allowing merchants to add up to 2.4% surcharge for credit card transactions. Understand the rationale but ultimately consumers lose at the end of the day.
