There's so much irony between the first and last thing on this list. We have 40 hour work weeks because people dared to get political at work. 32 in the summer? That's a bold political stance for a company to take, as are many of the things on this list, like no managers.
Working at Basecamp:

I try not to judge what ppl do during the pandemic bc I'm sure I've also done things that don't meet someone's standards out there but it is hard to swallow seeing unvaccinated friends traveling and dining in mixed households while my community is scapegoated for the pandemic 😔

Long interviews just tell me that the team doesn't trust one another lol. If they did, you wouldn't need to have every single person on a team or every discipline interview every candidate.
I love the fact that this man removed himself from the candidate pool b/c of too many interviews. While interviewing, I've been shocked by how many interviews each company wants, & I fear this has become the norm.
I'm not positive more interviews always equals better candidates.

It reminded me that a lot of the early designers at places like Facebook and Twitter don't work for anyone right now because they can afford not to. They can disassociate themselves from these companies at a time when they are the most scrutinized.

My mom is a cancer survivor, single mother, came to the US knowing no english as a h.s. dropout and enabled her siblings to go to college in the US. I worry about her not bc she's weak but bc she's been so strong for so long and deserves to have peace at this point in her life.
