From 1967-1977 the US government carried out the largest educational research project in history. The results of which were - effectively - buried. It’s a story of intrigue, ideology and education failure. A thread 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

And if you’re an investor who wants to throw me a couple $m, let me know. Cheap next gen writing pads that upload work directly onto the cloud for analysis by AI systems so teachers never have to mark again. HMU

I don't think people realise quite how bad the UK fiscal picture is. Spending is set to cross 60% of GDP, compared to 53% during furlough. That's not realistic, and young, high income workers are likely to bear the brunt of the correction. Offer them a way out and they'll go.

Like everyone else on my timeline I’m reading the fantastic essay from @s8mb and collaborators. Some absolutely killer quotes. This one absolutely cuts to the heart of things. Devastating impacts of low productivity clearly contextualised.

@dnleslie On top of all of this, 1 of the biggest challenges is device management. Keeping them suitably charged, looked after, unbroken Then there’s the straight up cost of the devices. Maybe there’s a market for a ‘dumb pad’ that is more durable w/additional functionality?

Asked Google Vids to create a presentation explaining that we should have fish pie for dinner tonight. The interpretation is disturbing to say the least 🙈
