I think it’s one of the reasons it’s legacy has endured. It’s also an incredibly sad story when you feel back the ending and jokes. Most of the characters do not get a happy ending and died miserably in pain.

Genuinely the movie Free Guy has one of the best responses to the cynicism that can come with the holographic principle theory or just a nihilistic outlook on life. Lil Rel Howery is fantastic, an underrated dramatic actor, who manages to bring a real gravitas to a popcorn flick.

Also you can have a black man with a white woman who's attraction isnt just based on sex. Or even as Endgame couple instead of a "subtle" way to show your female protag is progressive. Or a white man with an Asian/Latina woman where her heritage isnt erased or played for laughs.

No matter how many times I see it this opening scene from Gravity gets me locked in. Steven Price’s score is so perfectly executed and I get a lump in my throat every time Sandra Bullock has to detach from the shuttle arm. Beautiful kinetic filmmaking!

Had a development meeting about a feature I’m slated to direct. I felt my body do this the moment the screenwriter showed me that her script doesn’t pass the reverse Bechdel test. Meaning no two men ever have a conversation in this movie talking about anything other than women.

We simply do not have the climate the support it for personal use. I get it for parks and the sort but we have got to adopt Vegas’ water policies. Like even their parks and golf courses use less water due to their recycling than the average SoCal yard. The metrics are crazy!
