I’ve just returned from Iraq during the devastating 10th anniversary of the Yazidi genocide. There is so much more to say on the Yazidi’s plight & I will share more of my reporting soon, but for now I wanted to post some snippets of this beautiful (& often misunderstood) country.
Yesterday Tigrayans from across the UK got their voices heard, lobbying in parliament about the horrors in Ethiopia. Unfortunately very little is being done by our government, as one of the world's deadliest conflicts reaches a tipping point. The pain in the room was palpable.
A Turkish drone allegedly targeted a UN-backed girls' education centre on Friday, killing four Kurdish girls. I spoke with two of the survivors about the horrific attack.
Hamid Noury has been sentenced to life by a Swedish court for taking part in the 1988 massacre of some 30,000 political prisoners in Iran. This landmark ruling is the first time a member of the regime is found guilty of human rights violations

Honoured to have the UK exclusive interview with two very brave Syrian defectors — ‘the gravedigger’ & ‘the bulldozer driver’ — who are making it their life mission to get justice for war crimes in Syria. What they saw is unimaginable. Story coming soon.
This story is not new but it is unchanged and still does not have the worlds attention. Despite a peace deal in Tigray, shelling is ongoing and hospitals have little to no supplies. Doctors are completely heartbroken at being unable to treat patients
