I'm super happy to say that I'll be partnering up with
@tibo_maker
once again!
We plan to add some really cool features in Feather, starting with newsletters!🔥
ANNOUNCEMENT
I've acquired Feather
Why?
Because it makes people successful
I used Feather while building the Tweet Hunter and Taplio blogs, and it drove huge traffic to both of them
I am just so happy I'll be able to build on top of it.
But let's share the details .. 👇
LIFE UPDATE
I’m leaving TweetHunter & Taplio!
Joining the company has made a total perspective shift. I wouldn’t be who I am today, if it wasn’t for this. I’m super glad that
@tibo_maker
&
@tomjacquesson
gave me the opportunity.
I’m taking on a new adventure! More info soon.
Interesting talk about building career in Tech, glad I clicked the link and the last 10 mins were just amazing, it makes me wanna be more authentic.

Feather updates 📰
Last week:
✨ We started building subscriber page. As we slowly move towards newsletter space, there should be a way to see subscriber stats and have a way to unsubscribe or delete a subscriber if you want to. So here it is
✨ We added search box to the
Working on improving post preview of
@TaplioHQ
.
Here's what I learned about LinkedIn's preview:
For desktop view:
- when only text, show 5 complete lines max
- if a link preview, show 3 lines max
For phone view:
- Always show 3 lines max
Recently I bought MakerKit and it just keeps getting better and better!
If anyone is looking to buy a saas template to jump start their project, this is it!
Hey hey
@tibo_maker
is launching revid .ai today! And I think it changes the way we create short videos forever.
Creating TikTok videos, Instagram reels and Youtube shorts have never been more easier.
Check it out here 👇
✨ LAUNCH DAY ✨
I acquired Typeframes when it was making less than $1k / month (not recurring)
It was doing ok.
I noticed an unexpected behavior: using it to create short videos.
So I forked it to create revid .ai
Growth kicked ...
... And it reached 10k MRR 💸🤯
Today,
✨Added handle auto complete suggestions in tweet composer, main search and in engage tab.
Now you can easily mention accounts just the way how twitter does.
Feather Newsletter looking MUCH more professional now
loving it ❤️
I am slowly experimenting with my own personal newsletter
I'll report the progress on deliverability as we made TONS of improvements
Awesome episode!

Especially the point where some content on the topic is already out there but that shouldn't stop you from creating your own.
Looking back few months ago, the scariest thing for me was to write css. I wouldn't have confidence creating a custom popup/dropdown or any nice UI but since I've started using Chakra UI I've become good.
Chakra made me a better developer. Awesome work
@thesegunadebayo
Been some time since I tweeted what I'm working on
So here's how I started the day by fixing a small bug.
Made the image edit button more clear in dark mode
Chat Assist just got better!
✨You can now create and use your own actions.
So now just save something you use pretty often and then use it quickly with just one click whenever you want.
@tibo_maker
Always heard about him but finally read the whole story. It would be very interesting to find out why he runs it from village (probably his hometown)
It is so relieving when you are on top of all the support tickets.
Last few weeks have been very tough cause Feather is DNS heavy. And DNS is not as easy as writing code.
I figured it out tho (kinda). Now I can dedicate more time to features
✨ June was pretty great for , I was hoping to cross $250 MRR mark, which it finally did. It was also the month when Pika saw most new paid users, highest traffic and most churns in one month 😅

So I'm learning how to write P&L statements, this afternoon. Read a bunch of stuff and thought lets see how it's actually written, and guess which site did I go to
Not the best timing I guess

Companies are trying so hard to get things how they were but it is not gonna happen. To avoid things like this just ask who wants to come back. If few are gonna come just save the money in rent.
Automating is overrated when you know it's going to be a one time thing.
I just spent 20 mins manually subscribing our Feather users to our weekly update emails, which I could have spent 2 hours on automating😅
✨Feature update
An Interesting feature for our TH users. Now you can receive mentions of your connected accounts directly in your main account. You can also respond to those but as YOU (the main account).
@agazdecki
@microacquire
You're helping ppl sell business and now you're helping with business ideas too! Come on how much more you're gonna give back to community!
@jaredpalmer
That's valid imo. No one likes 100% of their codebase.
Everytime I learn something new, I want to apply it and if I always apply it to current codebase, I'll just end up in a refactoring loop without shipping anything cause chances are tomorrow I'll find something even better.
I love the features which I can build in hours and not days.
Simplified something on the contacts list page from CRM section. Will give more details once live.
Discovering hidden features is a real thrill.
Recently a user reached out, wanting to use custom fonts with Feather. I thought yeah! It would be a super cool thing to have. Users can personalise their sites by using any kind of fonts they want.
I put it in my todo feature list.
Create systems! it works.
I've been trying to reading a book lately but I always put it off in cupboard and then I never end up reading it, until now, I started keeping it right around me and that alone got me to read it twice in 2 days
Build a company like you never intend to sell it but also don't wait for a perfect idea that makes company last that long. A balance!
