Until now, Twemex has been a personal side project (by me,

). It started out 2 years ago as a little tool I built for myself to get more meaning out of Twitter.
After many iterations, it now has 20k+ users, growing fast -- way more than I ever expected 😅

This is great, but as a side project I haven't been able to give Twemex the attention it deserves.
I've considered making it a paid app to fund future improvements, but was reluctant to shut off free access :/

v0.4.1 available today, with fixed dark mode!
Dark Mode detection recently broke for many users. I'm sorry for the blinding white sidebar 😅 Now Twemex should display Dark when Twitter is Dark.
Changelog is down right now due to Notion outage, but here's the full update:

They are kinda compatible! You can hide the Twemex sidebar to show Threadhelper, so you mostly have to choose to use one at a time

Also, some users have reported that changing their color theme from "Lights Out" to "Dim" fixed the issue, so that's worth a try as well.

Yeah I totally agree w/ your feedback! I wish there were another way to surface more thoughtful content besides likes. Maybe "top threads from this user"?
I've also considered letting you pin any number of top tweets for other Twemex users

There's a known issue where Twemex is appearing in Light Mode for users who use Twitter in Dark Mode. Sorry about that! I'm looking into it.
These steps may help as a workaround:
- Hard refresh the page (Cmd-Shift-R)
- Change your color theme to Light, then back to Dark

Twemex basically supports a similar flow! Search in the sidebar, find a tweet, then copy url and paste into your tweet ☺️
