After an indoor season that can only be described as ridiculous, 🇺🇸 Elle Purrier St. Pierre opens her outdoor season with a MASSIVE 5K PB, becoming the 5th-fastest American ever in the process.

One of the more interesting points of my interview with Ryan Crouser was towards the end where he mentioned that he has what he described as an “American shot put league” in the works.

$500k/14 disciplines = $35.7k per event at each Diamond League. The current prize purse sits at $25k per event.

💰 The Diamond League has announced plans to increase its prize money for 2025.
The total prize money awarded at each of the 14 regular series meets will be $500,000. The total prize money per event will be between $30,000 and $50,000.

My thoughts on SPRINT:
It is great as a tool of bringing in new fans. I can understand some of the complaints that diehard fans have had around it, but as a whole it is a great piece of exposure for the sport and while giving some critiques is okay, outright bashing it doesn’t
Crouser is throwing static and without the Crouser Slide now. These conditions are incredibly frustrating for fans, I can’t even imagine what the throwers are feeling.

I was at Florida Relays where Bullis set the national record in March at 3:35.23.
