Two years ago today I found myself in the hospital having suffered a serious stroke. Unable to walk or stand. I was initially afraid and angry. In this picture I’m smiling because I knew I’d walk again due to the love and support of my wife, my family, friends, and fans. 🙏🏾

A month ago today I suffered a stroke. I could not walk. Doctors said only time will tell if I will recover or to what degree. Its been grueling work but made a full recovery, re-learned how to walk and today doing agility drills! Thanks for the messages of encouragement! 🙏🏾.

25 years ago today met the great Michael Schumacher. Traded champion tips, exchanged signed spikes for a signed helmet and presented the trophy for his win at Spa. My first ever @F1 race. I’ve attended at least one almost every year since! Thanks for the reminder @TheBishF1

1993 I was 80% 200 sprinter. 20% 400 sprinter. Afraid to attack the first half of the race. Strategy was stay with them and relax through 200, then use all the speed and endurance to separate. Flawed strategy but effective at the time.

My break through moment! Very, very, cold night in Edinburgh, Scotland, 1990, two months after winning NCAA and USA champs. Went into this race thinking world record which was 19.72. I ran 19.85 that night. Would take another 6 years to finally get it!

25 years ago today. After 6 years of trying to break the 200m world record I finally broke it. I thought I had the day before having run 19.70 but the wind was above the allowable. This was a goal achieved. But I wasn’t content. There would be much more to come! #olympics
