When Solly Tshitangano blatantly and falsely accused Andre de Ruyter of being racist was the day that everyone stopped accepting the argument of ‘it’s racism because I say it is’.

It helps the cashiers identify which items have already been paid for on medical aid and which haven’t. It’s to make the checkout process easier, not intended as a statement about the customers.
Dear minister

- can you please have someone look at this guy to see if he is validly in the country or can be removed. We don’t need poison like this.

I read this and thought to myself ‘yes, but what a lot of pain you’re going to get for this response’. I scrolled down. Yep. A whole Twitter who don’t get it.
“We defended Former President Zuma, we even went to Parliament and said a swimming Pool is a fire Pool, The Constitutional Court led by Mogoeng Mogoeng released a judgement against Jacob Zuma but the ANC stood by him, today Zuma says he can't stand President Cyril Ramaphosa” ANC
@Dick_Muller
The ANC were the revolutionary organisation this country needed. That revolution is over and we need leaders to create prosperity for our people.
The EFF is demanding the immediate reversal of the appointment of advocates Paul Pretorius and Matthew Chaskalson as consultants within the National Prosecuting Authority.
They've been tasked with prosecuting cases related to the State Capture Commission.

This son of the National Party member was under the impression that we will let them take over our country and control and subject us to Apartheid policies again.
Dean, we are not going to sit back and bring back policies your parents drove and impoverished us for centuries.
I’m getting really tired of people who want to see the anc removed but complain about the opposition (generally DA) not doing well enough. It is YOU who causes this by fighting against the opposition with your snide comments.
MIDVAAL RATED JOINTLY THE MOST FINANCIALLY SUSTAINABLE MUNICIPALITY FOR THE THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR.

Midvaal is that awkward example for the DA haters. A well run municipality not under a DA provincial government. These guys set the bar so high it makes everyone look bad. Go team!

I see the argument here (you can do something which move Jo’burg forward) but the talks of removing the Mayor in Tshwane are making people question what is actually going on. Is it for the citizens or just hating on the DA.

We can be proud that for the third time in history, a man of colour from South Africa can be the conscience of the world. Desmond Tutu, Nelson Mandela, Trevor Noah. What good company to keep.

This article demonstrates such a poor understanding of Christianity. The opening paragraph is dealt with at any half-decent Alpha course offered by most churches. SA deserves better ‘intellectuals’.
Everyone seems shocked that Tom London, a local broadcaster, has complained about hospitals and his colleagues in the media have picked up the story. It’s one of their own- of course they have picked up the story. We should be grateful he has made noise, hopefully change comes.
The reason why Julius Malema loves to be interviewed is because he always sweeps the floors with all the journalists. Who thought he would be exposed by just the cost of bread. The EFF must be ashamed.
@JohnnaCrider1
It isn’t hypocritical- a short says ‘I think your stock price is too high and the market will correct’. It doesn’t mean ‘I want your company to fail’. If the market believes 50%pa sales growth for 5 years and you think it’s 40% then you short the stock.
@TheZingOne
These are banks listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. So they are owned by organisations like the Government Employee Pension Fund; and fund managers (on behalf of their clients) like Alan Gray and the PIC. It’s not black and white
Is it possible that ActionSA have been played by the ANC who have manufactured this situation in Tshwane never expecting to follow through on a deal with ASA and forcing a divide between the DA and ASA leaders?
To defeat the DA first destroy their allies so they stand alone.
I am astounded that there are people unhappy with the government of the day but would rather stay at home than vote for a major opposition party because they don’t like the leaders. Cutting off your nose to spite your face.
@TheMusicBinger
You say visas are bad because they are about invisible borders and colonialism etc but then - in the next sentence - acknowledge people needing travel documents and the need to be deported across those same invisible borders. You need to pick: invisible borders good or bad.
Watch as the minister of electricity marvels at all the amazing things that can be done with electricity, rather than trying to find a way for us to have more out it. Bloody tourist.

@ChristineQunta
Who is ridiculing the government for doing this? I see people ridiculing government for thinking this is a measure of their success while it is a measure of their failure: success would be how many people are employed and DON’T need grants.
Fascinating to see

response in this article to how the EFF treated

If the ANC were serious about service delivery,

That is a misrepresentation of the tweet. He quotes the number of streams, not the number of unique users listening to Amapiano. You can make no inference about the proportion of worlds population listening to Amapiano from this.

No biggie. My mother-in-laws car was written off by someone talking on her cellphone. How many people have been in accidents of the same cause. It is a biggie. You need to realise how dangerous you are/were.

… if elected officials think they are there to RULE over the people it will fail like this. But If they are there to serve the people who elected them, then it will not be the case.

Can we say the same about you and your voters not having a say in the running of Joburg? You are such a small minority that you shouldn’t have input on the running of the city. Right? 😏
It is amazing how many people are unhappy with the joburg mayoral situation but still think that it’s okay for them to split the opposition vote because somehow it will be different next time. 🤷♂️

What does De Ruyter have to do with the budget speech? Or has his presence and near closing of the trough been a budget issue for the ANC?

Interesting point. I’m just trying to find the cases when De Ruyter was called out by the constitutional court and when he was accused of abusing process so badly that a personal cost order was considered appropriate.

Look at where the PA supported ANC/EFF government is spending taxpayer money in joburg. And then they will tell us there is no money for service delivery for the citizens.
@brettherron
No Brett, other parties - like GOOD - are asking for votes so that they can have personal benefits like the perks that come with being a minister in the cabinet. It has nothing to do with the good of the people.
In Johannesburg, ASA was happy trying to work with the PA despite the warnings from the DA. Now in Tshwane ASA are going to make the citizens pay so that they can learn the same lesson, but this time for working with the ANC Gauteng.
