The body corporate changed the rules of our complex. No kids allowed to play outside - wtf kinda rule is this? Kids need to go to the nearby park to play outside. I miss the sound of utter chaos outside. These poor kids are trapped inside like prisoners. Let the kids play.
Whether you want to admit it or not. No matter how prepared you are, loadshedding has negatively affected our mental health these last two weeks. People are very grumpy, angry and depressed. And as a society, having constantly stressed people isn’t good.

The “I’m an independent high profile woman” who gives it all up when she moves back to her small town and falls in love with a pizza delivery man or some shit.
Please say a prayer for the white minority in South Africa who are suffering daily murder, discrimination and oppression.
This Christmas, spare a thought for a kindred community that is under siege.
They are suffering racist genocide at the hands of a murderous regime.
Dear Twitter followers;
I upload my post-workout selfies cos I’m using Twitter as an accountability mechanism, like so many others on this app.
If you don’t want to see these posts - pls mute me or scroll on. But leaving me vom emojis & shitty posts shows me you are a poes.
Ok I sent my landlord a nice little email asking if he can send me all the body corp changes that were implemented & let’s see where this goes.
Fighting for these kids who are between 3 & 10 years old to play outside in a safe & secure complex environment.
It takes a village.
@katelsolomons
Oh and every-time they portray a strong female CEO / Executive / Businesswomen? They all happen to super angry and unhappy or mean and somehow all wear the same black 3 piece suits and christian louboutin heals…
I don’t have kids, don’t want kids but kids playing with neighbours kids OUTSIDE is the purest form of play & joy for kids who don’t have PlayStation or computers or even a tv. It fosters social skills & make kids happier. Why would you ban kids from playing outside in a complex?
People planning to “boycott woolies” make me laugh.
After a month of other stores, they will come crawling back for their precious Chuckles or whatever.
All because of a rainbow. Wow.
Huge Update: The kids are playing outside!
Found a loophole in the rules where there was no designated play area for the kids and there is no fine stipulated for the kids rule, so basically body corp can’t fine you if the kids play outside.
Happy kids!
IT IS NOT A CRIME FOR FAT PEOPLE TO EAT FOOD.
Stop commenting on their meal choices, their meal times or how they are eating. Just shut the fuck up.
It’s not your business.
A person who hurt me really badly and caused me so much trauma, years back has ceased to exist and I am ELATED.
Call me a psychopath, Call me a terrible person, call me what you want.
But my feelings are valid and there’s a sense of finality and peace within me.
@InsaneInsomniac
I also work from home, it’s loud yes but they are kids, what is supposed to happen? The world isn’t built for kids but they are an inevitability.
There is no greater level of hell than dealing with:
Fibre installations +ISP’s when you move
Cancelling a Telkom contract
Cancelling a bank account
Being at Home Affairs and the Traffic department
And finally, trying to unsubscribe from Netflorist.
I spoke about this once but when I feel my mental health slipping my house gets messy. So I use the might as a well rule. Going to the kitchen? Might as well take the cups in my bedroom and put them in the sink. Showering? Might as well clean the bath and toilet. It helps a lot
A neighbour commented to me that I “order a lot of Uber Eats, must be nice”- I smiled at her and vloeked her broken in my head.
I have depression and anxiety and recently due to reasons it’s been really bad.
It’s a battle getting out of the bed and going to work.
Hello, hi, estate agents and friends. Why can’t I move into a retirement village? I’ll pay more rent even. I just want peace and quiet and a dog. I’m the worlds quietest neighbour - I listen to music on headphones, watch Netflix with my headphones etc… why won’t they accept me?!
I’ve started working for an international food mag and I’ve just pitched a South African edition to the editor and team that profiles the Gatsby, Bunny Chow, Kota and braai-broodtjie as the main recipes.
Let me crawl into a hole. The imposter syndrome is hardcore today.
I see there is a new documentary coming out on Anna Nicole Smith. I want to know why we keep focusing on women and their tragedies? Is it cos it’s easier? I want to see gripping and embarrassing documentaries or shows about James Dean, Chris Farley, Robin Williams etc.
Idaho church deacon & middle school teacher, Cory Gaylor, has been sentenced to 60 years in prison for grooming & sexually abusing a child in his classroom.
I’m half Portuguese. (Mom is Xhosa) my dad gained citizenship in SA in the 90’s after living in SA for 15 years at the time. Nobody disputed his South African ID or passport - everyone accepts me as South African.
Are we really going to do this to a Miss SA candidate? Clowns.
So. Iv been getting ALOT of questions of how do I keep motivated? How do I get so much done. I follow something called the “Might as well” principle.
I started doing this to maintain my mental health - when it started to slip I noticed I would leave dishes in the sink etc.
It’s official. We are 15kgs down.
Small thank you to covid for that last kg. And a massive thank you to

Can’t wait to push my body and become the fittest I’ve ever been!
All I’m gonna say is, you cannot complain about kids being addicted to social media, addicted to tv and video games if we as a society don’t provide children with safe spaces to grow, learn and play. I am not a parent, but I understand that there needs to be kid friendly spaces.
Amerikkka is wildt.
At 18, you can’t vape, but you can own an AR15.
Remember when we were kids, we thought the US was cool and we wished we lived there?
I wouldn’t even do a layover there.
Do other women also check the toilet bowl (especially if it’s dark) before they sit, because they have an irrational fear that a snake or tarantula is ready to attack their vagina?
Just me?
Ok.

My rules for life.
I lived in Nigeria for two years. And one thing the government made very clear was that they COULD NOT generate enough electricity for the country. Do you know what happened? People made plans over the years - whole townhouse complexes equipped with generators.
I walked 5km today to reach my step goal. Our office parking lot is 4 levels - every-time I went to the bathroom or needed a tiny break - I walked down to the 4th parking level - then walked back - running up the ramps. Easiest 5000 steps ever.
OMG OMG OMG! First time since getting covid in December that I have been able to finish a FULL 40 MINUTE WORKOUT! I’m back baby! Massive thanks to team

No, of course not. My followers who know me, know my brand of sarcasm. You seem quite worked up though. I just like to be chill. I’m glad this issue is being talked about. It’s disgusting that after 20 years he finally gets citizenship and ONLY based on his earning potential.
Saddened to hear of the sudden passing of

. Sonia was lovely and willing to help anyone on these Twitter streets. She worried for the homeless in CT and loved her children dearly.
My condolences to her husband and children.
When my father was in a coma in hospital- my mother did something very cruel to me. We went up to see him & she pinched me very hard, told me not to cry, to be composed and not to weep. Only for her to completely breakdown crying when she saw him, whilst I stood stoic. I was 12
