It isn't. It's "modern medicine".
We no longer practice the same things that were practiced in 1842 when the word "Allopathy" was coined.

'Allopathic' is as an obsolete construct as 'Desi dawa and English Dawa'. In 19th century 'allopathic' treatment had its own esoteric theories. If people are still stuck with 'allopathy' then the modern medicine docs need lot of dialogue and clearing the perception in general.
