Have you seen the Don Hertzfeldt couch gag? His style can be a bit much for a lot of people but I think he articulates that exact point but extrapolated to an absurd extreme and conveyed in a way that is genuinely heartbreaking.

That new SNL movie looks awesome! SNL was actually pretty counter-cultural back in the day. Like smoking pot and stuff. George Carlin said the c word. And they were like, really cool and did drugs and things. All in all. To sum it up. That movie looks it willbe good.
