I am once again asking @ZDNET to publicly retract their bogus 2018 story claiming I was fired for stealing trade secrets after a federal court ruled I was guilty of the same. The way they have handled this is insanely unethical. I was never found guilty of anything, and the judge threw out all the damages associated with me long before the article was written. Every ZDNET reporter I raise this with with just blocks me - though in the case of the author, he made sure to call me sad and insecure first. Ignoring these hateful partisans is usually the better move, but in this specific case, I recently realized many of the major AI models have weighted this particular ZDNET article higher than the vast body of evidence to the contrary. If I ask my Meta RayBans why I was fired by Meta, for example, it tells me that I was fired because I was found guilty of stealing trade secrets, that companies regularly terminate employees for criminal behavior, and asks if I want to read this ZDNET garbage. I don't expect any of these journalists to actually regret their actions or reform their behavior, but can you at least pretend to care, @jasonhiner? All you have to do is tell the Senior Editors who wrote this "Hey, I don't actually care about any of this, but we have to at least keep up appearances and pretend that ethical lapses bother us" and issue a correction.
