on my way home tonight in the dark and rain.I found an old lady walking along the road.with a paper bag of shopping that was just about to burst - I drove her home - she'd taken her car for service and missed the last bus home - married 50 years, husband died last year 😢.

in Germany, we get medical professionals discussing public health matters relating to corona virus - the only political things that may be discussed is who is paying for what & how it could be improved - in UK you have the Health Minister trying to cover up old mistakes with new.

@McardleTrevor I used to drive to Malta pre its EU entry.we could wait for hours just to have our car & its contents fully searched - both on entering & leaving.such a shame but Britain chose this path.perhaps Britains should ask those who led them down is path to explain how this is a benefit.

@BenPBradshaw I live in Germany Ben - there has been little Govt messaging and no slogans - regional information openly available from county health authorities - its never perfect but I do feel most people respect the dangers - UK Govt ran a PR/ad campaign not a public health based campaign.

I think Britain is getting bogged down and lost because news organisations are inviting guests on air to express opinions rather than doctors, nurses, scientists expressing facts - people will just get more and more confused as long as this goes on - it serves no one well.
