A guy sitting behind my family at a restaurant today as we are celebrating my son’s birthday:
“The problem with families these days is they have more than 2-3 kids”
My family of six: 😳
Don’t accept that lie. Life is good. Children are a blessing. Big families are wonderful.
This morning it was with much joy we welcomed John Dominic Minihan into this world. Haylee and John are doing well. Thank you for all your prayers and support.
Deo Gratias!
Getting an email from a high-church Lutheran pastor who is reading Chesterton, St. Augustine, and Frank Sheed and would like to discuss converting to Catholicism is a wonderful way to start the work week!
Homesteading question:
Today my wife and I purchased 10 acres of land and plan to start a homestead.
What are some resources you have found helpful in gardening, livestock, soil preservation, pond maintenance, cider-making etc?
When my wife and I got married, doctors told us we wouldn’t be able to have children.
We went home and made St. Gerard our family patron saint praying for his intercession together daily (we still do).
We now have 4 children on earth and 1 in heaven.
St. Gerard - pray for us!
I had the privilege of having lunch with Cardinal Sarah today. We talked about the spiritual life, the hope he has for the future of the Church, and the importance and seriousness of worship.
Headed to a funeral of a 31 year old friend who suddenly died from a heart attack this week. Prayers for his soul would be appreciated. His name is Ben
Spiritual warfare ramping up!
The abortion clinic was packed today. We were met with loud music, PP volunteers, and a police car on site. We’ve been praying here every Thurs for the last 9-10 years. This is the first time they had this much going on.
They know they are losing
Super proud dad moment this morning.
Luke served his first Holy Mass at
@SaintBensChurch
today. He woke up early this morning to rehearse and make sure he knew exactly what to do. He was intentional and carried out his duties reverently.
Went to Holy Mass today with only one parishioner. The priest, who has two other parishes, makes the trip every week for him and any visitors that may show up.
Praise God for priests who take their vocation seriously
My wife is heading on a mini-retreat this weekend to Clear Creek Abbey. It’s a much deserved weekend of prayer and silence. Please pray for her if you could. Thanks!
As I was teaching the boys their theological lesson today, my 5 year old interrupted me and asked, “Dad, are you teaching us this so we can teach our kids someday?”
11 years ago, a doctor told us we wouldn’t be able to have children. That day Haylee and I decided our family patron saint would be St. Gerard. Everyday, as a family, we ask for his prayers. A family of seven, we are indebted to his powerful intercession.
St. Gerard, pray for us
I love being a dad!

I would appreciate prayers for the health of momma and the baby
I had a rare opportunity to film the monks at Clear Creek Abbey during compline this evening. I was able to capture some awesome moments that I can’t wait to share with you guys!
Dear priests,
Thank you for taking your vocation seriously and being a spiritual father to your flock. It is an important part of the growth of our children.
- A grateful parent
Family tradition is so important.
A Catholic girl is about to become a cloistered nun at age 18. Her father asks what she wants to do before entering the convent. See the Grand Canyon? Go to Mexico?
Her answer: I want to read 1 more book with the family like we’ve done for years
Some exciting news.

“A fruit of marriage is procreation. This is a great honor to you who are married that God - wishing to multiply the souls that will be able to bless and praise Him for all eternity - make you cooperators in so worthy a task.” -St. Francis
A very Holy deacon in the Tulsa Diocese is fighting for his life. If you see this... please pray through the intercession of Blessed Fr. Stanley Rother for a miracle. Thank you
I am thankful for the response and prayers from everyone. Henry will be receiving much needed blood this morning and will be getting on oxygen/respiratory therapy. His parents are keeping everyone updated here if you are interested:
Well folks... it’s official.
My book will be published in 2020! Virtues, sub-virtues, Aquinas, and fatherhood - get ready!! Also, I’m trying to calculate the over/under on how many times I reference bacon in the book 🤔
I would appreciate your prayers
My wife has been trying to evangelize a neighbor for the last year. Couple weeks ago our neighbor left on vacation for her home country, Bulgaria, and came back with this present for my wife. 😬
Please pray for the Tierney family.
We had the privilege of interviewing both Jim and Kendra on our show not too long ago. We have learned so much from their family.
There’s a lot going on in the world and in the Church. Don’t lose sight of the things you can control.
- Have a consistent prayer life.
- Love your wife as Christ loves the Church.
- Be the father your children deserve.
- Be intentional with friendships and the intellectual life
I’ve been to midnight Mass 31 of my 32 years on this Earth. We missed one from a blizzard. My dad tried to get us there but we couldn’t make it down the street. He and I ended up pushing the car back home. Love midnight Mass!
St. Albert the Great says that in order to maintain spiritual joy, one must:
1. Maintain a clear conscience in all his actions.
2. Never knowingly break the commandments.
3. Strive to progress in holiness and sanctity.
4. Imitation of the virtues of Jesus Christ.
My 6 year old came up to me tonight in tears.
I asked him what was wrong.
He said, “I hate when I commit a venial sin. God wants me to do better.”
Lord, please make me more like my son.
*Driving home from a party in a rare silence for 3 kids in a minivan*
My 4 yr old: Dad, you know what’s crazy?
Me: What’s that?
4 yr old: Jesus is God! He was here on Earth but died and is now living again!!!
Me: Couldn’t agree more, bud

This is in the Skull Harbour of Schull, Ireland. My family helped build the Catholic Church in this small town and many of them are buried in this cemetery.
Let us pray for the reconversion of Ireland. St. Patrick - pray for us
Fighting the worldly culture by mimicking it is a foolish battle.
The Church offers beautiful voiceless hymns that sing to the heart, mind, and soul.
Turn to Her for rest and go to Mass today.
Happy Sunday!

My 7 year old and 5 year old both looked at me then gave a thumbs up 👍 to the screen. 😂
268 years ago, a lay brother of the Congregation of the Redeemer, better known as the Redemptorists passed away.
St. Gerard Majella dropped a handkerchief and a girl picked it up to give it back. He said “Keep it. You may need it someday.” Years later…

There's not much debate about this actually. It's alive. It has its own unique DNA created from 2 persons. A fetus just means young one.

Daddy/daughter date tonight with my sweet Anna Faustina. Holy Mass, social hour, nice dinner, and a talk by Dr. John Cuddeback. At the end of the night, I was getting her out of the car seat and she said, “that was a fun trip, dad.” Turns out... she will get whatever she wants
My wife sent this to me today.
It hit hard. It’s one of those pictures where you realize your child is growing up and he’s not the kid you picture in your mind.

@pniles86
and I started a LPFM Catholic radio station in Broken Arrow. Today, we officially bought a full-power Catholic station in Tulsa that reaches over 1.1 million people. This will solidify local Catholic radio for generations to come. Praise God!

Man calling about a car I’m selling:
Are you kin to Jerry Minihan?
Yes sir, that was my grandfather.
Let me tell you, that man was one of the best men I knew. He always did the right thing and wanted the best for children. I knew he was a Christian without even asking him.
It is one of the great joys of fatherhood.
Pulling into the driveway after a long day at work, seeing the children’s faces peeking out the window anxiously awaiting my arrival, and walking into the front door to be greeted by children hugging my leg while yelling, “Daddy’s home!”
