Absolutely damning stuff from @PrifWeinidog today. The UK Government has 'turned its back' on the governance of the union and hasn't participated in any of the intra-union government meetings since Liz Truss became UK Prime Minister. Severe peril for public services ahead.

Something very satisfying in watching the dignity & clarity of a small country’s leader addressing serious international issues while the UK PM scampers away sulking that he’s not getting his own way. FYI Luxembourg is 1/5 the size of Wales in terms of population

Very disappointing to see @WalesOnline publishing these dodgy stories from the Tax Payers (read: avoiders) Alliance. Good healthcare, social care, education, public infrastructure & environmental protection all cost money, which we collectively, rightly, pay for through taxation.

Remain convinced that it would have been better for Welsh Gov to have worked on an app with Scots Gov. Combined with a strong track and trace system & devoid of the negative connotations associated with UK Gov’s handling of Covid19, we could have been up and running months ago

England’s and Wales’ long-awaited contact tracing app will not do contract tracing (initially at least), No10 admits. Worth remembering Scotland and Northern Ireland are already using contract tracing apps.

The @ybydyneileS4C production team are absolutely knocking it out of the park this election season. They’re delivering big ideas on tiny budgets. It’s the 80% Wales that doesn’t speak Welsh’s loss that English programming is tame, tired, and distinctly regionalist in mindset.

@ScotBrit2 @PrifWeinidog Amazingly, the job of national leadership requires people to do more than one thing simultaneously. All governments across these islands have urgent domestic responsibilities as well as international obligations. You may not like his politics but he doing his job with dignity.

Whether you agree or not with this argument about optics, the idea that optics should take precedence over good actual government is pretty contemptible in the middle of a global pandemic. What a rotten mess 🇬🇧 union is in:

A reminder that the scourge of leasehold is a Wales problem because it’s an England problem. The only two countries in the western world with this awful system and because of the ‘joint’ legal system, only one of those countries can change the law that affects them both. 👇

Down at the barrage today & wondering if this building next to the fine old custom house building will ever be saved? Such a shame to see it continue to decline. Easy for me to say but maybe a coupla £million & it would be a great asset to the area a building we'd be proud of🤞
