A huge advantage of being an entirely neutralised, economically negligible, easily flattered population inside the settled borders of the kingdom. Left to erode rather than forced to crumble.
Wow, not seen this before. The UK (excluding London) is shockingly poor. Big problems with a mono-polar economy, even across a multinational union.

Absolutely damning stuff from
@PrifWeinidog
today.
The UK Government has 'turned its back' on the governance of the union and hasn't participated in any of the intra-union government meetings since Liz Truss became UK Prime Minister. Severe peril for public services ahead.
Woke madness! What about the businesses in these areas that have invested in their brand! People will always use the old name! What a waste of money! Where was the consultation?! How are visitors meant to know how to pronounce “III”?!

The tradition of Welsh Gov Ministers shying away from directly criticising their union/Anglo Gov counterparts is long gone. Double Ooof.
Quite something to see a Chinese representative dismiss the UK like a human swatting away a fly.
Should be essential viewing for those Europhobes banking on China/USA deals saving the British economy after Brexit.
I guess the cliche is true after all, the people who go to the stadium aren’t really Wales supporters - this is one of the least convincing I’ve seen for years.

The difference is perhaps that we’re the only nation without any control of our own destiny. Devolve it all. Please.
Just goes to show that you don’t have to be the party leader to lead by example.
@LeanneWood

City without bus station or 21st-century rail/transit infrastructure thinks that a 15,000 capacity arena is the one thing missing in its plans? Hmmm 🤦♂️
On the train from Cardiff to Pontypridd listening (inadvertently) to a young lady from Wales explain to a yound chap from England how much more accessible her Welsh Parliament member is compared to Westminster equivalent.
Great advert for modern Wales.
Extraordinary to see UK Labour publicly embarrassing its Welsh leadership so bluntly.
As if The FM’s credibility wasn’t already in the pits, now the entire leadership’s agenda for the last decade thrown under the bus. Difficult for Welsh Labour to promise anything now.
A pretty damning indictment of the influence of Welsh Gov over their own party.
Not even a guarantee of devolution of youth justice & probation - just ‘consideration’ - and ruling out policing and justice with another ‘London knows best’ promise. Bleak.

Pretty much every policy decision from this UK Gov seems to be basd on the idea that It worked for Britain in the 18th Century so why wouldn't it work again in the 21st? (Prison ships/islands, naval power, trade wars with the continent etc)

However, if turnout is as low as predicted for these PCC ‘elections’, we need to have a serious conversation about scrapping them in Wales, which I fully hope Welsh Gov will lead!
