@FakeUsername92 @DocStrangelove2 Yeah we always closed the dust cover in OSUT (went through same year as you) and every time afterwards. You just didn’t think about it. Kinda just happened naturally

@debruina @PolymarketIntel The more important detail is that they’re using so many civilian vehicles instead of armored vehicles. Not only that, but this is 1 area of many. Russia’s lost so much armor (everywhere) that now we’re seeing them rely on civilian cars out of desperation.

@Owen_Kung4000 @Bragamias @elmustek Yeah these have been filmed everywhere, for a while too. I was uncertain at first, but it seems like they’re seen in assaults & other roles all over the front.
2⃣ 🇷🇺 seems to increasingly rely — although it's a long-term trend now — on small group infantry assaults, often on civilian cars. Is this indicative of proper vehicle shortage? Not necessarily. It's just what seems to be working out for 🇷🇺 atm as they continue advancing. 4/

@sambendett Reminds me of the pre-war Hermes-K, albeit that used a rocket, not a jet. And had other slight differences. Hard to say how useful the Solist & Hermes-K will be given the Lancet family of systems. It might be another nothing burger.

@thinkdefence I mean, the M40 recoilless rifle is ~3.4 meters & MLRS rockets are ~3.94 meters. I’m sure you could have a reduced size pod of rockets with 1-4 rockets carried on a jeep (or comparable vehicle).

@LTsarcasm @snekotron @pati_marins64 That’s nice. I’ve known people who pretty easily pivoted into more lucrative consulting fields from one of those, so they have the option for that if they want. Although IMO they should stay put & ride out the perks/WLB. It can be hard to justify the high pay when WLB blows.

@LTsarcasm @snekotron @pati_marins64 At a major defense company (e.g., Lockheed, RTX)? Yeah I’ve heard they offer particularly good perks that even most major corporates won’t offer. And that the WLB is typically pretty good too (same can’t always be said for many defense techs), although that can be role dependent

@wolski_jaros The US uses BONUS, not SADARM now. Not to mention M1156 PGKs too. I also believe there are 152 M2/M3 Bradley’s with TOWs as well. Not 122.
