I love this city (a bike-to-work day 🧵debunking the crime and encampments hype). I rode 14 miles to work almost entirely along the Cherry Creek and Platte River trails. Traffic lights stopped me four times (Leetsdale, Denver Country Club, 51st and 58th and Washington and 58th).

This is called "ballot curing." It means that someone's ballot was received before the deadline but rejected on a technicality. The state then notifies the voter who has a chance to fix the technical error. It's quite common.

Just flagging this for the Denver Country Club and the Denver property assessors. Private golf courses should pay taxes on the actual value of their land.
The ultra-exclusive Los Angeles Country Club's land is currently assessed at $22.195 million. If the golf course was replaced with apartment buildings like the one pictured down the street, the accessed value would be $8.434 billion. There are 19 golf courses in LA alone.

In Florida, as a reporter, I had real-time access to a copy of the mayor's city email account. It was easier than me just filing a request every week for her emails. That's the way it should be. The public should know how our officials serve us (she was great btw).
One other thing to note...this came to light because of open records laws.

I cannot thank my son's teacher enough for coming to school every day to a class of potentially germy kindergartners so he could learn to read. As hard as it is on him, however, it's clearly time to go back online to slow the spread.

My husband just made a Pfizer COVID-vaccine appointment through Kaiser for our 6-year-old. Feeling nervous, but it's the right thing to do and the known risk of any severe complications is much, much lower than the risk of Mis-C even for healthy children.
