Had to walk away from
@60Minutes
tonight; I'd seen more than enough. AR-15s aren't tools of defense: they're mass slaughter machines. And there are 11 million of them in the US.
Other Denver things the South Park Guys could buy and revitalize: The Colorado Rockies, Rocky Mountain Records and Tapes, Gart Bros. Sports Castle, El Chapultepec, Racines, Trail Dust Steakhouse, Baby Doe’s Matchless Mine.
It’s been comforting just knowing that President Carter is out there, doing all kinds of good in the World. I hope his final days are gentle, painless and filled with warmth.
If you lived in or around Denver in the later part of the 20th century, this hurts. There were occasions when I would spend the entire day at the Cherry Creek location. David Bowie told me it was his favorite bookstore anywhere.
NEW: Denver's iconic and troubled Tattered Cover bookstore chain is for sale. The company says its bankruptcy creditor has declined a debt/equity swap and Tattered Cover is now actively looking for a buyer.
This week marks 24 years of my hosting mornings on
@973KBCO
. I rarely lasted 24 WEEKS anywhere before that. Thanks for the encouragement, kindness, friendship, etc.
Colorado-Only Tweet: So we can all agree that I-25 between Castle Rock and Colorado Springs is completely inaccessible and should just be abandoned to wildlife, right?
Don’t say this enough, but I am so thankful every day for what I do in terms of my “job.” And I’m so grateful for all of my listeners. Today marks 26 (!!!) years of my holding down mornings at
@973KBCO
. How could that even be possible? Love and gratitude for your support!
Not ashamed to say I teared up after hearing about the passing of Rosalynn Carter. We should all strive to be more like the Carters. Their beautiful lives seem like the opposite of what passes as "success" these days, but who could be finer role models?
This week marks 27 years of appearing as your morning friend on
@973KBCO
! I don’t know how that happened, either. I’m so grateful for all of it. Thank you for your support!
I’m told today is officially my 25th anniversary at
@973KBCO
. There are so many people to thank for their kindness and support. My daddy thanks you, my stepdaddy thanks you, and I thank you!
Happy New Year to everyone who felt left out, left behind, isolated, alienated, afraid, frustrated, alone, misunderstood, ignored, marginalized, and just plain dumb in 2020.
41 years ago today: that U2 concert everyone in Colorado claims they attended took place at Red Rocks. More people have told me they were there than the number of individuals the amphitheater can hold.
BTW this whole "free time" thing during the pandemic is a LIE. Everyone I know is working harder to keep their gigs, teaching their kids with no spare time, and/or stressed out too much to enjoy anything because they're unemployed for no good reason. Don't believe the hype!
A reminder that today is my birthday and people have forgotten my entire life because of where it falls on the calendar but you could change all of that with a kind gesture
.
@KyleClark
There was once a petition to have me removed from
@973KBCO
because I was disrespectful to Jimmy Buffett. I believe about 200 people signed it.
Thank you to all of the selfless people who put themselves in harm’s way this week. Medical workers, supermarket employees, journalists and so many more. We are grateful for you!
Fleetwood Mac's RUMORS album was released 45 years ago today. Your parents had it on vinyl before you. Maybe you were conceived to it! Have a nice day!
Hi! You can post all of the videos you want, but the folks who voted for Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert knew exactly for whom they were voting.
