It's amazing how cordial and kind a critic can be in a face-to-face private conversation (eg. offering feedback after a seminar when others are *not* watching), and how the language changes to almost performative insults, as soon as that same otherwise-kind person goes on twitter.
@NimwegenLab Peak Twitter is knocking down a fellow scientist because of too much data in a paper. There are actual people working on these publications for years. Don't think it's very practical to dismiss their work as 'landfill'.
