This is sad news. The Science Centre was designed by celebrated Japanese-Canadian architect Raymond Moriyama who, after spending time in an internment camp as a child, went on to build some of Canada's most important buildings (Cdn War Museum, Science North, Bata Shoe Museum).
The government says the current Science centre will be demolished.
The province says a business case determined it would be cheaper to bring the science centre to Ontario place rather than repair it.
