Prognosis: Death/2021 - I rallied.
I suffered pain that morphine could not remedy - I rallied.
My cancer is not curable & I require multiple poisons for the remainder of my existence - I rally on the regular.

Quick procedure. “Sore” for a few days w/ no lifting or carrying of things. Sleeping was tricky at first, pillows for propping.
The initial days felt like the having a monkey hanging from my collar bone. I don’t even notice it now. I am super grateful for my port!

I don’t like the “cancer patient so brave” rhetoric because it puts unnecessary pressure on the cancer patients who do not feel brave or strong or whatever.
Instead of “You’re so brave” muggles could say “You must be freaked the fuck out, and I admire you for doing it anyway.”

Chemo feels..
When I don’t wake fast enough to reach a proper receptacle, vomit happens on the bed.
Stripping the bed of sheets with puddles of puke while on chemo is one of my least favorite things.
Last night, one of my sweet fur babies had an upset stomach. He threw up all over my bed and pillow. It's not fun having to strip everything. I felt bad for him. He is better today, thank goodness.

When I had radiation, I had to pay the “discounted” parking rate of $12 a day every day for 4 weeks even though I was there for 20-30 minutes. It was insulting. I forced myself to not think about it. There are so many of these things most people have no idea.

Well, after another stay in hospital, I got the news, that despite someone reading my CT and telling me I was OK, 6 hours later they confirmed a stroke, brain & bone mets...no words again.

My chemo is palliative. Been riding the clutch w/ 46hr infusions since 2021. I no longer keep track. Each tx checked off the calendar feels like countdown to the final curtain ☠️
However I know at some point I passed 69 rounds … because I giggled like the adolescent I am 🤭
