I got news yesterday that a cancerfriend died. She was diagnosed at the same time as me. Same type of breast cancer. Same treatments. Recurred and lived with metastatic for 3 years. Cancer makes no sense. RIP Sarah K-Des. You deserved better than you got. 💔💔💔.

I don’t like the “cancer patient so brave” rhetoric because it puts unnecessary pressure on the cancer patients who do not feel brave or strong or whatever. Instead of “You’re so brave” muggles could say “You must be freaked the fuck out, and I admire you for doing it anyway.”.
