I’m badly jaundiced and there’s nothing they can do to correct it. The dr told me today they don’t expect me to make Christmas and are trying to get me a bed in the MacMillan unit to make me as comfortable as possible. I’ve been accepted there just isn’t a bed available yet.

Just a quick message to let you know I’m back in hospital. The cancer has spread to my brain and it’s caused me to be partially blind in one eye. It’s also making me me constantly nauseous and unable to swallow medication so I haven’t had any of my tablets for quite a few days.

I’m still here. Got a uti and a chest infection. My sis is convinced I’ve either got an iron, b12 or vitamin deficiency so has asked the dr to organise a series of blood tests. The dr was very forthcoming. The treatment I’ve received from the community medical team is very good.

Palliative care nurse has been to see me. I cried. A lot. She’s going to prescribe me some anti sickness just in case. She told me to relax. I’ve messaged my friend who is in charge of imaging here at the hospital. She’s going to see what she can do to get me in sooner.

Morning! Struggled to sleep last night. Had back ache all night on and off. When I eventually dropped off my catheter seemed to stop working. I’ve had to put s as call in to the district nurses rapid response team who are going to come out and swap my catheter for a new one.
