@ProfBrianCox I doubt the world will even have come together to stop using fossil fuels by 2032. Could we put the asteroid strike back to, say, 2040, to allow time for the preliminary conferences. And will there be asteroid credits, that companies that are doing absolutely nothing, can buy

@MartinMurphy72 @richardparke15 @MichaelPTa51915 @monsieurballard @ChrisWojtal @martynschmoll Do you have a tachograph in your car, like lorry drivers have in their hgvs. Who checks how many hours you have been driving, and how much rest you’ve taken.

@Nick___Collins @RhysSandz @theJeremyVine “The emerging driver had already entered the junction, before the driver, they were required to give way to, had even reached the junction” ?? No doubt. That’s how crashes are caused - pulling out into the *path* of others ( notwithstanding that other driver probably speeding )

@AllyGator911 @RhysSandz @theJeremyVine The give way requirement doesn’t only kick-in once the other party is actually on the roundabout. In the same way that give way requirement at a junction doesn’t only kick-in once the other party is actually in the junction.

@Docroddy @RhysSandz @theJeremyVine That’s wrong Each driver entering the roundabout must give way, at the line, to drivers approaching from their right - in this case as if the emerging driver were entering a straight main road that the (speeding?) driver was travelling along. The emerging driver broke that law

@Bikery1966 @T_Extinguishers Not much mention in the article about the people that pavement parking negatively affects. It seems to just lament how drivers don’t like being restricted

@ChaponaBike123 Then having seen the latest offences, the police could have gone round to the known offenders’ known address. I would maintain that police chasing motorcyclists around the streets, is just as dangerous as motorcyclists riding on the pavement

@ChaponaBike123 Thanks. Yes, I’m still none the wiser as to what offence the pursuit, and the tactical contact was in relation to. Police in uniform can order “cyclist” to stop for their “EAPC bicycle” to be inspected to ascertain it’s not a motorcycle. But a pursuit does not seem proportionate

@ian_m_greenwood @stevecoogan65 …dealership, and told them how disgusted we are that they sell 150mph cars. Show me one person who has asked for a low-speed car, or else would walk out. Show me one person who has ostracised their friends for speeding, like they might do so for if they had assaulted people.

@glancaster2703 @Axolotol3 Here’s another road user failing to use their mirrors:
Send in Dash Video's & our self styled Harry Hill trained Officers will review footage and decide on appropriate action. Driver reported - Due Care - Who needs mirrors just pull out! Caught on Victim's bike cam #GMPYouvebeenFramed

@glancaster2703 @Axolotol3 You said in your post, that anyone who undertakes is a danger. Whereas this clip’s danger came from the person not checking their mirror before manoeuvring

@ChaponaBike123 I am saying - and without being able to see the clip: Merely being upon an illegal motorcycle ( let alone upon a legal EAPC ) is not sufficient reason in itself for a police pursuit. Dangerous Driving *might* be reason, and even then the guidelines/assessment I tweeted applies

@glancaster2703 @Axolotol3 You do have to look before manoeuvring - hence the mirrors. This is also in the interests of the person doing the manoeuvre - because next time it might be a truck approaching If this is too hard, a person should not be operating machinery, on public highways, in the first place
