I asked her if she was ok and said no again. I got in the way and told him she needed to sit down for a second as she was about to fall over. He tried to force his way around me with her but she managed to get out of his grip. I asked him her name and he looked at me and ran
@fionajogood1
@abughazalehkat
The security guards finally paid attention once he ran, we were able to find her friends who confirmed that she didn't know him. I blasted the shit out of the security guys that allowed him to get that far. I'm now 37 and this happened when I was around 25. I won't forget it
@abughazalehkat
I have experienced it from both sides, being drugged and helping a woman who had been drugged. I was coming in to a venue when a guy was helping what looked like an extremely intoxicated woman out, he told security that his gf had had too much to drink. She kept mumbling no no
@ask_aubry
Then left her at home bleeding and took the baby to the hospital. Lied to hospital staff about who the baby belonged to before finally admitting the truth

Thank you so much, at the time I was annoyed that I'd had to work late so met my friends heaps later than usual. Afterwards I was so glad I was late that night. I will never forget her

I have crohns disease and people in our support group are unable to find toilet paper to buy! Its insane! Please think of those that have a genuine need before you go crazy stockpiling

This is why my nannas advice to me is still just as relevant today as it was when I was in my late teens. Always say no to something in the beginning and see how they react. It saved me many times from men who would react like this

I did this when yelled at for using a disabled bathroom! Pulled my top up, showed my fresh (a few weeks old by that point) cut from sternum to belly button. Asked her if she would like to help me sit and stand in a normal cubicle and then I'd use the normal toilet

She told me her name and I sat with her, the security guards notified those working inside and asked around until they found her friends.
They were able to confirm they knew her name and address which we found on her driver's licence. They immediately got a taxi home with her
@fuzzymittens
A family friend adopted a cat from our local shelter. This cat would not leave the owners right boob alone, kept trying to groom it, pad her paws on it etc. She mentioned it to her doc as a funny thing, gp did an exam and found a lump. Biopsy positive for breast cancer.
@fuzzymittens
When my ex fiance kicked me out of our house the day after I'd had surgery, he demanded that I bring him my car as it was in his name and he threatened to report it stolen. It didn't have a spare key so I parked it across the driveway and locked the keys in it so he was stuck
Update time once again! They have rejected my new certificate and are claiming I can study full time without assessing me, with my doctor stating I am unable to study or work. I will be calling

office as soon as I stop crying. This is not ok, I can't even wash my

Same here, I was really young and was just normally friendly towards everyone. My only interaction with him before he started stalking me was me saying hi nice to meet you when he introduced himself. It resulted in me being stalked by a 30yo for over a year. I was 18
So damn frustrated right now!! After putting in a medical certificate 2 weeks ago to centrelink, it still hasn't been coded into the system and I have been cut off. I have been calling them for 4 days since I got the text at 4.30pm on Friday that I was being cut off. You can't

I'm going to give OP a pass on not knowing, she seems really into learning about things that are pointed out to her instead of getting defensive. As a nerdy 21 year old she could have just been genuinely naive.

Another great one was saying oh I saw her drop her phone, can you call it? Simple questions that don't inflame a situation and slow down their exit. I learned some important life lessons from her that I didn't realise at the time
@ask_aubry
Ummm she's 21!! With no family around, a high risk pregnancy, the other times she's been to the hospital something has been wrong. Dehydration in pregnancy is dangerous, especially if she has POTS
I can hardly see through my tears to type. My life sounds like a bad joke right now. My baby boy, my 3 year old cat jasper just died. Buried my dad yesterday, my cat dies today. He had a heart defect that wasn't known until it killed him. We came home from the airport this
@a_h_reaume
Different area but I had a so called medical professional do this to me. Refused to help me then told me I clearly needed psychological help as I started crying. Turns out I had a joint dislocation. I made a complaint and received an apology but it sticks with you

Yes!! Retail workers deal with enough crap! They can get in huge trouble for allowing the transaction. Also for making it harder on new immigrants or international visitors. If you are caught you will make it so much harder for them.
@ask_aubry
Watching her long enough to know what she watches on TV isn't a small amount.... he is really damn creepy!
I hope the female friend was able to tell the neighbour so she is aware of what is happening
@cthulhu8books

Yeah me either. Why would you cook a dish your pregnant daughter in law is allergic to in her kitchen? For some people just breathing in fumes of peanuts is enough to cause anaphalaxis

Had hip injections one day under sedation, went to have a shower that night and saw a massive black line down my leg. Thought part of my leg was dying off... nope just the marker they used to guide the needles 😂
@mvconnecthrive
@abughazalehkat
Afterwards I couldn't even explain why, it was just a gut feeling that something wasn't right. I just really hope it made an impact on the security guys and that they would pay more attention to situations like that in the future

I did this with my best friend. Realised that over all of the years I always texted first unless they needed something from me. Still haven't heard from her 2 years later
So grateful for my amazing GP, his staff and my pharmacist!
Had a telehealth appointment less than half an hour ago. Antivirals, panadol, masks and hydralyte are already on the way to me from my chemist, paid for over the phone and they aren't charging me anything for delivery!

Same here, my father (now in his 70s) was denied a promotion twice for standing up for an admin assistant who was being sexually harassed/assaulted by her boss in the late 80s. He was forced out of the job for not sticking to the "bro code". Hes always said he'd do it again.
Hey guys, this is probably a long shot but has anyone in Melbourne had a memorial tree planted for someone instead of a more traditional grave? Dad doesn't want a funeral or a burial, but would prefer something like his ashes with a memorial tree.
@ask_aubry
Oooof! I'm child free by choice and I respect the choices that anyone makes whether to become a parent or not. People like this try to make it an us against them thing and it shouldn't be

Mine always said if you make it to 90 you can say anything that pops into your head. Until we lost her at 92 she was savage in some of her comments and comebacks 😂
My dad was an incredible man, way ahead of his time in many aspects of life. He was passionate about sustainability, was conscious of our footprint on this earth, a believer in equality and an ally to women when many men were not. He always led by example and taught my sisters

In Australia they are done before being adopted out. It is one of the first things they do after a thorough health check. If it didn't though I would have had both my boys done as soon as we left the shelter

Also please don't be offended if a tall person politely says no. I'm a tall female (5'10), and I also have rheumatoid arthritis. I don't look like there is anything wrong with me, but if my shoulders flare or my hands flare I have to say no sorry I can't

Exactly. My grandmother married the first time to get away from her father, it was the only way she was able to leave the household. It wasn't based on love, it was so she could escape.

Well if your sons can't control themselves, send them to an all boys school until they learn how to. You are excusing their behaviour. Girls are allowed to dress however they like, it's not on them to change so your boys can use it as a victim blaming excuse
This sucks. My little bunny Lex became ill suddenly this afternoon, and had to be put to sleep. He was almost 11 years old, lived in the house free range his whole life and was beyond spoiled. It gives me some comfort but doesn't make it hurt less.

Asked him if I could help. He told me he'd split his pants and was trying to work out how to get out of the store. Gave him my jacket and took him to the staff bathroom. Told him to take them off and give them to me through the door. Trusty sewing kit in my locker fixed them!

I saw the start of this, i can't believe they just kept going! You don't owe anyone an explanation, no one has to put their disability online
Well at long last, today is the day! In half an hour I will be leaving home with my natural upper teeth for the last time and coming home in a denture! Not what I ever expected at age 37, but you just have to roll with the punches and take what life throws at you ❤

Try reading the whole post instead of shaming this poor mum, she states multiple times her children are not on a keto diet. How is her feeding healthy dinners not an appropriate diet? YTA

From her point of view he is probably just some random she went to school with that she hasn't spoken to in years comes at her with msgs like that.... I'd have put him on blast too
@OrCloneThereof
@ask_aubry
I've had to have this conversation as a retail manager and we do not want to have those types of conversations unless we have to! They are extremely awkward since it is such a sensitive topic. If multiple people are telling him, it must be really bad
@jtrebach
And I told him I liked his tie. I scared him a little as he wasn't expecting me to speak 😂
Each day until I was released 2 weeks later he hang back and showed me his tie and asked how I was doing. It was only a min or 2 but brightened up my day each day
@AbortionChat
This is why my mum used to invite a dog trainer to visit her kindergarten twice each year!
Even some of those with pets had no idea of how to approach an animal
@ask_aubry
So many layers of gross. A grown man sexualising a 16yo is disgusting, he needs to be kept away from teenagers if he is thinking this of his own neice.
Well done to her parents for cutting the uncle out of their lives
@DaveMilbo
I went to my local shops to go to the supermarket this afternoon, everyone in masks and distancing properly. It was like everyone automatically shifted back to it and no one was complaining

Hahahah my great aunt once accidentally chipped an expensive piece of china when she was washing it. Her husband said oh just ruin the whole set why don't you? So she picked it all up,dropped it on the floor and walked off 😂
So I know not many people will see this but I just need to yell into the void. My dad isn't doing well, we don't think he has much time left. Our family is all flying in from around the country to see him and say goodbye if he doesn't bounce back. We thought
