On October 7, the world witnessed the largest organized campaign of murder and violence against the Jews since the Holocaust.
One thing became very clear: NEVER AGAIN – this is a promise, not a slogan.

"As Anishinaabe, we are troubled by the expressions of hatred against Jews and Zionists, and the disappointing ignorance, fueled by misinformation coming from universities."
Read this deputation by The Hon. Harry LaForme & me, to Committee-an Anishinaabe perspective:
I’ll say it again: let’s not wait for Jewish Canadian lives to be taken before showing leadership.
Let’s not let overtly loud, aggressive, antisemitic groups representing less than 0.0001% of the population prevent action to secure neighbourhoods for all citizens across Canada.
A Jewish-owned business in Toronto was firebombed and graffitied. This isn't an act of political protest, it's a terrifying act of unadalterated Jew-hatred.
@MarcMillerVM
I believe Elder Claudette Commanda, who is Algonquin and from Kitigan Zibi, was in attendance at the gathering on the Hill today. And from
@PierrePoilievre
‘s photos it appears there were other Nations in attendance as well. And so it’s not clear to me how this is a mistake.
I’ve seen people kicked out of malls for much less than this.

Let’s remember though, that not everyone wants to live downtown [insert name of large urban centre].
And they shouldn’t have to in order to enjoy a similar quality of life to other Canadians.

I already frequent most of the businesses listed in the boycott - and from now on, will go out of my way to support them tenfold.

And the 150+ First Nations who are positioned for equity partnerships with oil and gas industry?
So far, Former Premier Jason Kenney is the only leader to truly advance reconciliation by ensuring that FNs have access to capital.

I'm here to call it out - and I won't stop.
As many of you know, earlier this year, I went to Israel to see for myself what happened on Oct7. I went into small communities attacked and saw for myself the damage from acts of terror.
It seemed fitting to end my trip at Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center.

Building up rather than tearing down would more effectively heal and unite people, communities, and our country.
There’s nothing wrong with wanting to ensure that government and institutions don’t leave out those historically oppressed.
But how we go about that matters.

Shameful.
Let’s be real: the act of decolonization is, in itself, colonial.
While the left's decolonization efforts aim to “dismantle colonial systems,” they use the same hierarchical methods they seek to overthrow.
Isn’t that ironic?
