Canadians have many Indigenous issues they can advocate for. Clean water is one of them. Updated numbers provided by @SawdustInglis Write to your MP's and @MarcMillerVM @PattyHajdu 1/

@MelissaMbarki I have to admit over the past week I have made numerous land acknowledgements in a leadership role I hold. But after speaking to Melissa on the issue I will demand, with support of my community, that Parliament lives up to it's promise to end water advisories everywhere

Throwing around the idea that they have the option to recall Parliament only if they can remain in power for a bit longer. Sorry, what kind of arrogance is this when we are dealing with a national crisis.

What about “No, never” doesn’t he understand? No, we will never give in to a bully. Canada will always be the True North, Strong and Free.

It shouldn’t take being angry at a threat from a foreign leader for that pride to emerge. We should be proud to be Canadians, not just as Trudeau would say, because we are “not Americans.”

Shouldn't we be proud to be Canadian for Canada's sake and not because so many are angry at Donald Trump. The sudden resurgence in national pride due to Trump is disturbing. Let's celebrate Canada for Canada, not in opposition to Trump.

Well it looks like Buffy Sainte-Marie’s Order of Canada has been terminated. There are some who wanted to leave her be, she's retired and her career has winded down. Others are angry and want her to be stripped of awards for being dishonest. I am disappointed. My family adopted many people into ours. I have an extended family of aunt's, uncles, sisters. These individuals didn't become Indigenous because of that kinship bond.

This could have been Canada’s deal, a deal that would have been beneficial for all. Yet, when Trudeau was asked by then Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida to consider a similar deal, the answer was no.

It’s a sensationalism. It’s a very small minority group. I have felt that backlash personally. However, I felt very passionate about what these projects meant, not just for my community, not just for my daughters and my grandchildren, but what it meant for the 19 other nations along the pipeline and the two to three other nations down the channel of what this economic development project meant for our community.
