@cassiaspeaks We asked for a plan from Louisville re change to zoning laws. They didn’t provide one. So we will likely extend the moratorium on change to the code. They can still operate within the existing code, as they always have. We cannot push evermore expansion of sprawl without a plan.

@cassiaspeaks We appropriated tons of money to Louisville in part for housing this past session. And we put together a task force leading up to what I hope to be real change in the next budget session.

@libsoftiktok I would love to see if when counting the votes biological females voted for the biological females who claim to be nonbinary over biological males who claim to be nonbinary, and vice versa. That would be a tremendously interesting experiment.

@CMPiagentini The advocacy community and Louisville Mayor Greenberg deserve a great deal of credit. Lots more to do, but this is a milestone that should be celebrated.

@KY4Bot @_AustinHorn I believe I read in materials sent to my legislative office that the Kentucky Lottery had its best year ever last year. Very interesting industry.

@KyWhitney But I do like the effort to have bills taken up (or not) based on merit and not who the sponsor is.

Excellent thread on why we should oppose legalizing assisted suicide.
1/9 Why do conservatives believe assisted dying is wrong? On the surface, it seems an easy moral question: Why not help someone in turmoil to die as they choose? Those of us in schools who understand culture, get the idea of ‘thin end of the wedge’ Nothing remains as it began
